Smithy House is located in the small village of Bellanoch looking out over the marina that forms part of the historic Crinan Canal. This detached house has a spacious living and dining area, as well as a well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs the two bedrooms have special features including headboards crafted from drift wood, original wooden floorboards and doors, combined with an interior design and furniture that provides absolute comfort. The garden to the rear with a patio and garden furniture is a private suntrap. Crinan Canal, which opened in 1801, runs for approximately 8 miles from Crinan to Ardrishaig and is right on the doorstep of Smithy House. This provides opportunities to take walks or bike rides along the tow paths or simply watch the passing yachts and boats navigate the several locks towards Cairnbaan. There are several places to eat in the surrounding area, with great restaurants in Crinan and Cairnbaan, as well as Tayvallich which is only 15 minutes by car. A little further away there are ancient ruins spread throughout the Kilmartin Glen and the historic town of Inveraray, famous for its lochside jail. Beach 1 mile.
