Tigh Dubh is a renovated 19th Century vernacular building on a croft, close to The Edinbane Inn, 8 miles from Dunvegan, 13 from Portree. The cottage is a building with history, character, comfort and a genuine sense of place. Our croft and Tigh Dubh is designed to help you slow down and experience Skye at its best. We know that planning trip to Skye can feel overwhelming. We can help with trusted recommendations and the reassurance that you've chosen a place where guests truly feel at home. The space The cottage is a converted traditional Blackhouse that originally housed animals. The ground floor contains an open plan living area, a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, a sleeping platform is tucked in the eaves. Heating is from a night storage heater and wood burning stove. There is a sea loch at the bottom of the croft. The cottage is cosy, safe and peaceful. It is a place to relax after a day on the hills or exploring Skye, the thick walls and crackling fire in the wood burner provides a haven to recharge your batteries in a busy world. The right place to stay doesn't just support your trip IT ELEVATES IT! Pets are welcome, Maximum 2 dogs per cottage, Dogs must be inoculated, No fighting breeds. There is a 40 pounds fee.
