Description

The Green Hut is a cosy but luxurious getaway in the walker's paradise of in Batcombe, situated just behind our converted barn in a tree-lined paddock. This self-contained shepherd's hut is perfect for one or two people to immerse themselves in true rural relaxation, whilst being close to the beautiful market towns of Frome and Bruton. Whether sat outside soaking up the views in the sunshine, or snuggled up by the wood burner on a rainy day, The Green Hut is the ideal place to unwind. The space The Green Hut is such a cosy space, with a cupboard style, comfy bed and two gorgeous chairs to sit in and relax whilst enjoying the little log burning fire. Also, there is a lot of outside space available to guests including chairs and table, benches placed around the area, one in a little wooded patch with a view to the village and one in the adjoining paddock which gives views of hills and woods. On a summer's morning or afternoon, you may hear the gentle plodding of the neighbouring famer's cows making their way to and from the fields before and after milking time. (This particular farmer sells his milk to the public straight from the farm). The field behind the Green Hut is beautiful and accessed by a private gate. Following the public footpath, walkers can climb the hill and beyond, to enjoy even more glorious views. The village of Batcombe boasts a fine pub called 'The Three Horseshoes' for a pint of local beer or cider and great food. Other things to note The Green Hut has a small kitchen area. A space to make tea or coffee, dip into the biscuit tin or make some toast. There will always be a bottle of milk, butter, bread , spreads, tea and coffee. There is a mini fridge in the hut but in the shed behind the hut there is a larger fridge freezer available for your use. Although it is not possible to cook properly in the hut, there is a gas burner and pan available for outside cooking. Great for fry ups, making paella and much more. There is a great pub in the village too! A mere 5 minute walk into the village.
