Description

Each Potting Shed has comfortable twin beds. This accommodation is designed for short stay overnight accommodation - it is NOT self catering unlike the cottages on our site. The ensuite shower room/wet room contains a shower, hand basin and toilet, towels and complimentary toiletries are provided. TV's are not provided though WIFI is available throughout. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets are supplied along with a kettle and mugs. Provisional licence number: PK12515P The space Designed for a one or two night stay, ideal for using as a short break or a stop off on your way on to somewhere. Situated at the lower part of the estate, there is a row of nine sheds, each shed has individual access to the outdoors via the stable style door. This location is a countryside retreat. The views across the fields to the village of Rait and beyond are lovely. A car or other suitable transport is required by most, no buses or public transport serve Fingask or the village of Rait. With no bar/restaurant on the Fingask site the closest eatery is The Tufted Duck in Rait, a 10 minute walk, open from 10 - 4 most days. The closest small shops are in Errol or Inchture villages (each approx 5 miles). Guest access The Potting Sheds are at the lower part of the 'estate', to reach them you should follow the main drive towards the castle before taking the left turn at the top of the drive. Then follow the signage to The Potting Sheds. The route is bumpy in parts, and takes between 5-10 minutes depending on your speed. The parking area is approx. 125 metres from the door of shed 5. The car park is partially gravel and uneven in places. There is a small concrete ramp and then flagstone path from the car park to the shed entrance door. The route and entrance to shed number 5 are step free. The shed doorways are wider to accommodate wheelchairs and walking frames. The shed is a little larger than the other sheds to accommodate most wheelchairs. The ensuite shower room/wet room has an electric shower and is equipped with a shower chair, both the shower and the toilet areas have grab rails. The shower room/wet room is large enough to accommodate wheelchairs. Other things to note The estate paths/roadways are not tarmac, they are rough in places and can be muddy when wet. Appropriate footwear is recommended if planning to walk around the site, including if attending an event at Fingask and planning to walk from the Potting Sheds to the castle and pavillion. If there is a wedding taking place during your stay, that you are not attending, we ask that you respect to the bride and groom and please avoid the front of the Castle and the Pavilion area. You are very welcome to wander in other areas of the gardens and grounds.
