Description
We are open from July 4th, with our new increased cleaning and social distancing protocols in place. We use an extensive cleaning routine ensuring all high touch surfaces have been fully sanitised. Forthay is a 17th Century farmhouse in an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) on The Cotswold Way. The property is surrounded by 360 degree farm and countryside views overlooked by Tyndale Monument, the perfect stay for walkers, dog lovers or simply exploring the Cotswolds. The space Twin bedroom with a private shower room. The room comes with super fast broadband, Egyptian cotton bedding, feather and down duvers and pillows ( non allergenic available on request), large fluffy towels and bathrobes, powerful hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, Roberts DAB radio, luggage racks and complimentary Noble Isle toiletries. All rooms feature countryside and farmland views. Maximum two people per room. Guest access Guests share an entrance, boot room, snug with log burner and breakfast room During your stay Forthay is a country home from home with added luxuries to create a relaxing and memorable stay.All guests receive a warm and friendly welcome when visiting Forthay. In the Winter guests can relax in the cosy snug in front of an inglenook with log burner whilst enjoying a slice of homemade cake and a pot of tea. In the Summer guests can relax in one of the several outdoor seating areas, play croquet or boules on the lawn or table tennis for the more competitive. Debs and Charles, the owners live on site in a separate wing and are available to assist guests throughout their stay organising dinner reservations, taxi's, providing local directions and any other needs to create an enjoyable and relaxing break. Walkers exploring the Cotswold Way receive a complimentary pick up and drop off from Dursley and/or Wotton Under Edge, just let us know when booking. Pick up in Dursley is The Old Spot Inn and drop off the next morning at Wotton Under Edge is in theHigh Street. Other things to note We are very dog friendly, providing dog beds, dog bowls and heated dog showers, just the ticket after a long walk in the surrounding Cotswold Countryside. We provide complementary pick up and drop off for walkers completing the Cotswold Way to Dursley and Wotton-Under-Edge. Enjoy a glass of wine, a pint of locally brewed beer or cider, or a gin and tonic from our licenced bar. Breakfast is not included but a full English Breakfast for £10 per person can be ordered for the following morning when you arrive at Forthay. Evening meals are available for £15 with 24 hours notice, due to Covid-19. Breakfast and evening meals are table service, minimising social contact. Debs and Charles live on site, and are available to assist guests throughout their stay, organising taxis, restaurant bookings and days out. We have two dog friendly pubs that serve food walking distance from the bed and breakfast.
