The Pension is a cosy, old, family hotel high in the Alps only reachable by cable car. We have kept the character and style of the old Swiss mountain hotel featuring the history of the building and the village. Gimmelwald itself is car free and world famous as an example of a traditional farming village, some of the buildings are 400 years old. The Pension is a place of peace. Gimmelwald is the perfect escape from the rush of modern life, the ultimate getaway. The space Family hotel with cosy bar Children & dog friendly. We serve our own craft beers: lager, amber and our famous Schwarz Mönch. Great location for sledging and only a 10 minutes cable car trip away from the first ski piste! After a lovely day out we offer a comfy space for a hot drink, a beer and some home style food. Guest access Breakfast (14 chf) is served in our cosy hotel living room. Here you can also enjoy a three course set dinner for 35 francs per night, read a book by the fire, gaze at the view of the mountains, play a board game all while enjoying some hot chocolate, glühwein, or a pint of home brewed beer. The guests have their own private bedroom & shared bathroom.
