As 1 of the 4 rooms named after some of our favourite Cambridge Colleges - Wolfson Room is a private room in central Cambridge. Our recently fully refurbished Victorian boutique home is situated in one of the most serene parts of Cambridge, in Newnham village, only 10 minutes walk away from the city centre, Colleges, University departments, and 35min walk to the train station. The space YOUR 2nd FLOOR GARDEN VIEW SUITE A bright, westerly facing room has been recently refurbished maintaining many original features such as the original wood floors, victorian feature windows and radiator. The space has been newly refurbished in a sleek and modern style, within a Victorian era boutique home with many carefully preserved original features. A mix of cool modern and warm vintage. This room is a newer extension of the home and can therefore be slightly cooler. Between 18C to 20C. If you enjoy cooler temperatures, this is the room for you! Your bed is a regular soft spring mattress with a memory foam topper. THINGS TO NOTE: We offer extra blankets, comfy cups of tea, hot water bottles, and warm jumpers. The house is on a thermostat and fluctuates between 18C to 20C. This is a Residential Only Parking area. As part of Cambridge Boutique Stays AirBnB, it is located in the beautiful neighbourhood of Newnham. Your host is a local chocolatier and can introduce you to the neighbouring locally run small businesses, refer you to the best cafes and restaurants, or give you a map of the green spaces, and let you know where to rent a bike, or which walking tours to book. YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD There is a Co-op Grocer 2 streets down, as well as a family owned deli and local post office, a french bakery cafe and patisserie, our own local butcher shop and small chemist, and we are pleased to announce the latest addition to the neighbourhood, farm to table shop called the Meadows. At the end of our street there is of course a quintessentially english neighbourhood public house -The Red Bull Pub. We are ideally surrounded by many large greens and parks including Grantchester Meadows, and the Fens. All within a 5 minute walk. Offering us both easy access to the city and/or an escape from the crowds. Your choice! THE BOUTIQUE Your room is featured alongside 4 other rooms in the home offered on AirBnB and is part of a boutique home AirBnB experience within Cambridge University. TRAVEL PERKS Although we cannot offer a Full English, guests will always find a fresh bowl of fruit and snacks available. We provide a selection of teas, and coffee that has been locally roasted and sourced from Hot Numbers, The Brew Project or Bould Brothers Coffee. All Cambridge Institutions. We make sure there is either a selection of healthy cereals to choose from OR occasionally British crumpets with spreads. Just something small to greet you in the morning and start your day! We wanted to offer something small that’s NOT offered in all AirBnB's. Cambridge Boutique Stay Airbnb welcomes visiting scholars, PhD students and tourists regularly, and we ask that all guests observe the following; • Be sure to download the Airbnb app and turn notifications on. All communication regarding your reservation and visit will be via the app for yours and our safety. • Shoes off in the home, and kept in private rooms please. • We will try to cater to any special requests or dietary needs for breakfast and snacks however beyond that, we cannot offer access to cooking facilities with the exception of longer stays + additional fees. • Cooking, Food Storage and Take-A-Way food delivery CANNOT be accommodated due to limited space and recycling facilities. For this same reason, please AVOID PLASTIC BOTTLES and enjoy Cambridge water! • Guests should avoid taking food into private rooms. However if an exception has been made resulting in spillage or staining of linens or towels, an additional charge WILL be levied, so please do be careful. THE DINING ROOM & SITTING ROOMS • Airbnb guests have access to the kitchen, sitting rooms and conservatory for *BREAKFAST ONLY until 9:30/10ish. • We provide a selection of healthy granolas, and muesli, unlimited tea and locally roasted coffee, OR a variety of spreads for crumpets. Providing a small breakfast makes us unique, as not all Airbnb's offer this special service. A fruit bowl is always available on the counter and you may be pleasantly surprised with seasonal chocolate truffles. Your Host is a local boutique batch chocolatier. • We have provided desks, or a writing nook for the room, however the home is NOT necessarily intended for a workspace. *If Wifi and technical support is a priority, this may not be the best space for you - we do however have boosters on each floor. There is a full list of the Libraries including Faculty Libraries online. There are 114 libraries in Cambridge for you to choose from and you can read more about these and the amazing cafes in your welcome package. • We encourage you to use the compost, rubbish and recycling in the kitchen. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your hosts. We are here to help! • Tea and coffee grinds are *composted not put down the sink please. • We are an environmentally friendly household. Ask us how if you're interested or share tips with us! • For the security and safety of all guests and your personal items, we ask that all windows and doors are properly closed when leaving the house. • We normally cannot offer laundry facility as house linens get priority. Exceptions can be made of course for longer stays. Washing is £5 + hang dry. The drying stand is located in the shared bathroom on the middle floor. There is a dehydrator on premises but this can only be accessed sparingly if at all, as it is not a standard clothes drying unit and does not have a vent. The washer is only accessed between the hours of 8am to 8pm. • As it is a family home, there are no individual locks on the doors. We are inviting you into a home, not a hotel. A much lovelier travel experience in our humble opinion :) • Thank you for taking the time.
