The space The room has a queen sized bed, 32 inch flat screen smart TV, with Netflix, Stan and Amazon Prime streaming. There is split system air conditioning for cooling and heating, and an overhead fan. The bed has electric blankets. There are books and games available. Wireless internet is also available. The kitchenette is stocked with everything for a continental breakfast, and basic pantry needs. We always include milk, orange juice, cereals, breads, butter, spreads, yoghurt, fresh seasonal fruit, chocolates and nuts. A range of teas is supplied. There is a coffee pod machine and milk. A toaster, electric kettle, bar fridge, sandwich press and microwave are in your kitchenette. While the room is set up for one couple, we are happy to accommodate families with a baby if you have your own cot. Guest access Guests are can enjoy several walks while they are staying, or can use our accommodation as a point from which to go exploring the area. A BBQ and undercover outdoor area with a hot plate is available. A comfortable deck area is adjacent to the room to enjoy the quiet rural setting. Enjoy the atmosphere and warmth sitting around your own fire pit toasting marshmallows, weather permitting. Other things to note Some of our guests look forward to venturing out each day to explore on foot, by bike or by car. However other guests just like to relax and enjoy the serenity of country life. We are happy to offer cheese platters to weary travellers who don’t feel like venturing out again. Ask for details and price if interested. Things to do and food availability - Woodside and McLoughlins Beaches offer superb, secluded walks along and splashes in a seemingly endless shoreline. The beaches are part of the 90 mile beach. Port Albert is a charming fishing village with great eat in or takeaway fish and chips. Ver Sicilia, at Port Albert is a pizza and pasta restaurant offering relaxed al la carte dining or takeaway food. It is licensed and open Wednesday to Sunday lunch and dinner. There are several nice walks to do around the port or back along the coast towards our house. If you are energetic you can even walk from your accommodation to Port Albert, or just walk to the end of our road to enjoy the Nooramunga Inlet. If you are interested in history, the Port Albert Maritime Museum is worth a visit. Much fishing is done from boats put out at Port Albert, but there is always someone fishing from the jetty. There are hire boats available. There is a rail trail in the area providing lovely walking and bike riding tracks. Yarram is our shopping centre less than 10 minutes away and has 2 supermarkets and several places to buy takeaway food or eat in ; cafes during the day and pubs at night. Numerous murals decorate building walls in Yarram and we won a National award for them recently. Tarra Bulga and Wilson’s Promontory are wonderful national parks for a day trip. The Courthouse gallery always has an interesting art exhibition, gift shop and tourist information. Agnes Falls and Port Welshpool are both a short drive away. Of course you may prefer to just hang out here at the farm in your comfortable room and relax. The sunsets and views of the stars can be spectacular.
