This apartment has everything you need to have a great time in Datça. Fully equipped and perfect for an entire family. * SCROLL DOWN & KEEP READING TO LEARN MORE* Centrally located but in a calm district away from noise, within 10 mins. by walk of Datça’s most popular attractions, including town center (9-10 mins by walk), the famous beach of Hospital (7-8 mins by walk) and the marina (12-13mins by walk). The super market and the grocery store, are only 1 min. distance on foot. No car needed! There is a spacious living room with, TV, air conditioner, one sofa bed, a dining table with four chairs, a terrace with Sea View and connects with the fully equipped kitchen through an inner window space. There are two normal bedrooms furnished one with a large double bed and the other with two single beds. The size of the flat is very convenient, net surface is around 90m2. The best part of the house is the terrace which has view to Aegean Sea, Simi Island and the mountains over our beautiful green garden. You can enjoy view by sitting on the terrace having your drinks or coffees. Balcony doors are wide and light the apartment greatly. The flat is on the 1st floor of a centrally located 3 floor 1980’s Mediterranean style family building where entrances are outside and separate for each flat. Building is located on an inclined land which makes possible to have a garden in every floor because of its unique Mediterranean architectural design. Building has 2 facades and 2 entrance, back facade on the 3rd floor level from the main road and front façade on the ground floor level from down street. Please check building pictures to have a better understanding. You can reach the flat from both entrances but it’s easier to use down street entrance and go up 1 floor by taking into account there’s no elevator. Building is very secure. You have this private house to yourself, not shared with any other guests but your party. Please enjoy it as it`s yours. I live with my mother on the top floor of the same building and we are available to help right away if there are any questions or issues that arise during your stay. We don't mind messages, texts, or phone calls anytime. Also, if interested in recommendations for what to do in Datca peninsula, we love our town and can help with places to see and to eat at that are wonderful, depending on your interests. The spindly, 50 km long Datça peninsula in Turkey’s Muğla province is a dagger of pure green at the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean. The ancient Greeks believed Datça to have been created personally by Zeus, so gorgeous are its rocky outcrops and aquamarine waters. The geographer Strabo apparently said: “God sent his beloved creatures to Datça for them to live longer.” Although this backwater peninsula is wedged between moneyed Bodrum to the north, and overdeveloped Marmaris to the south, bad road access and its distance from airports have left it unspoilt. The Marmaris-Datca Road is really fascinating with its heaven nature and the environment. While you are coming, on one side you will see the Gökova Gulf, and on the other side you will see the Hisarönü Gulf. In Datca you may experience a quiet and calm holiday. As you travel out of Datca, you will find unspoilt bays and golden sandy beaches. One of the greatest things is its abundance of nature and that even in its city center, the beaches are pristine, which means that no matter where you are, you can simply go and take a swim in the beautiful sea. One of the area’s most popular beaches is the Hastane Altı Plajı (Beach below the Hospital), with a name that harks back to the time when Datça’s State Hospital used to be situated here. Eski Datça (Old Datça), is a beautiful patchwork of stone-paved lanes, kitchen gardens, pot plants, bougainvillea-drenched walls, and little cafes and shops. The old stone houses of Datça’s historic neighborhood have become quite famous, especially because the renowned poet Can Yücel lived and died here and his house is open to visitors annually on August 12th (Yücel’s death anniversary). In his poem, Testament, he wrote: “Bury me, my dear, in Datça. Near that view by the sea.” Datca is located on the 71 kilometers southwest of Marmaris and 161 km west of Dalaman which is the closest airport. You may find regular buses from Marmaris or Dalaman during summer time. It takes about 1 hour 10 mins from Marmaris and 2 hours 45 mins from Dalaman with some lovely views. You should take bus to last stop which’s bus terminal. To reach our building, you should come out of station, turn right, walk past municipality building, Migros (super market) and reach main road coming from Marmaris which veers right. Simply follow road in direction of harbor for 300m and find nr. 46 on the left line. The distances from major cities to the peninsula are as follows; 792 km away from Istanbul, 729 km from Ankara, 335 km from Izmir if you plan to come by your car. The road from Marmaris (road number: D400) is the only way to arrive overland. There are also ferries from Bodrum which is opposite shore of the Gökova Gulf, arriving at the port on the northern coast of the peninsula. From there, downtown is a 10-15 minute drive away. There are 3 round-trip voyage per day during summer time and it becomes less frequent during winter. It’s better to check their timetable from official web site. You can find it easily by searching Datca-Bodrum Ferry from search engines. You should treat the house as if it was yours and respect the neighbors. Please keep it clean and remove garbage from unit and place in trash cans outside. Low noise and clean use is our top priority!
