This guesthouse is a cozy, sunny, and comfortable place to stay on the campus of NIRMAN, a non-profit that works for education and the arts. The campus has lots of greenery and is completely safe and secure. There is a small school on campus, as well as ongoing arts events, and a cafe. We are a ten minute walk away from the river and Assi ghat, Lanka - a bustling market, and BHU - the university campus. All are welcome, but especially scholars, artists, students, and activists. The space The guesthouse is basic but comfortable. It is on the ground floor. All rooms have a desk and a cupboard that can be locked. Guests are welcome to make tea or coffee - an electric kettle and other amenities are provided. Price listed is per room. Please send us a message if you would like to book multiple rooms. Guest access The guesthouse has a lovely common area for lounging in, with bright window seats and cushions. There are lots of places to sit and work, read, etc. outside, all over campus. During your stay People - the campus caretaker and other staff - are available to help you throughout the day. Please feel free to reach out with any difficulties you have as we want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Send me a message as well anytime. Guests are welcome to participate in campus activities and events, which include occasional music concerts, workshops for parents, school fairs, etc. Other things to note The school on campus has children from ages 2.5 to 10. Additionally, children ages 11-16 arrive on campus to be bus-ed to our other campus outside the city. School timings are 7.30 am to 12.30 pm, Monday through Friday. Please expect to hear the children at these times and for half an hour before and afterwards as they and the older ones arrive and depart. Guests are welcome to interact with the children, but not to take photographs or give gifts of any kind. Please ask for more information about the school, which is an innovative, arts-based school open to all. The air conditioning can be used only in summer, usually from mid march to mid october.
