Greytown Yurts - Luxurious Glamping Experience

Greytown yurts is luxury accommodation with all the fun and appeal of glamping but with total comfort. There is a ducted heat pump to keep you comfortable all year round. The interior offers a luxurious and calming environment, with beautiful views across our garden. It has a very comfortable king size bed (183 x 203 cm), with superior linen, bedding, towels and robes. There is a one off cleaning fee added to the price. The space The yurt is set in its own secluded garden, at the back of our 2 acre garden and is just a short 500m stroll into the heart of historic Greytown village.  It is perfect for couples wanting a romantic weekend away. You can look up to the night sky through the clear dome at the top of the yurt. The ‘hot tub’ is actually an outside bath which is right by the door into the yurt, it is very private and there are lovely robes for you to use while you are staying. The property itself is quiet and peaceful as it is two blocks away from the traffic noise of State Highway 2.  Ultimately you will be in your own private garden, however you are screened off from our house by a well established hedge. We use 'Real World' luxury toiletries, they use natural plant based products without all the nasty chemicals.  You will have their Hoheria, Pohutukawa and Mandarin Body and Hand Wash, Lime Blossom & Kiwi Seed Shampoo and Conditioner, as well as their Mamaku & Lavender Sleep Bath Salts. You will also have: • coffee plunger • good quality wine glasses • Apple TV • USB chargers in the hotpoints beside the bed • Torches (it is very dark in the countryside at night so these are available for when you go into town at night) • Umbrellas • Iron and ironing board (available on request) • We also have bikes, and helmets (available on request) Guest access You can access the yurt down a separate driveway to the back of our property. Other things to note We will supply you with our homemade Paleo muesli, greek yoghurt, and milk, for breakfast.  We will also provide you with fresh ground Mojo coffee and a selection of teas. Our garden We purchased the property in early 2010 when it was just a paddock, it was previously Gray’s Berry Farm.  We developed the garden ourselves, and first planted about 500 - 700 pittosporum tenufolium to establish a boundary hedge.  Then, with the help of our wonderful local arborist, we planted over 100 large trees and continued to develop the garden from there.  The only trees that existed when we bought the land are the 5 apricot trees you can see from the yurt.  You are welcome to walk through the knot garden and to sit on the swing seat under the apricot trees.  We are also happy to show you more of the garden, please ask us.
