Noggerup Rural Retreat

Ideally situated, within 30 minutes drive from the Collie River Valley, Wellington NP, Ferguson Valley and the Blackwood River Valley, No 37 Macquarie Street is an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Situated on the edge of the NP, you can choose to spend your time exploring the local walk or bike trails and towns, or just spend time resting and recuperating in its peaceful surroundings. A wide variety of native birds can be spotted along with wildflowers and orchids in Spring. The space No 37 is a funky, fully self-contained timber clad house with shaded verandas at the back and front. The main living space is open-plan, kitchen, dining and lounge. There are a number of fruit trees in the garden which you are welcome to taste. The kitchen is supplied with utensils and appliances, electric oven and microwave. There are two raised garden beds at the rear of the property and you are welcome to use the herbs and vegetables during your stay. The property is open to the surrounding area, with no fences or boundaries between the forest and neighbouring properties. There is a wood-heater for the winter months (wood provided) as well as reverse-cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans in most rooms. There is a multi-purpose loft space which can be used for meditation, yoga or sleeping. Please be mindful that there is a steep staircase leading to this room. Additional Information We have provided a Guest Information Booklet with information about the house and 'insider tips' on the local area. We have also provided tourist information flyers and brochures. Other things to note Noggerup Rural Retreat is open to the surrounding area, with no fences or boundaries between the forest and neighbouring properties. Dogs are welcome with prior notification (please read our Pet Policy). There is an additional charge of $20 per stay, which can be paid in cash on arrival or left at check-out.
