My name is Yonbo Kwon and I am a Korean mom living in Japan for 14 years : ) I speak Korean and Japanese (not good English) but I have a big heart for hosting travelers that want to feel at home in my house and...in Kyoto! This house is perfect for: couple, family with children, and groups traveling in Kyoto who want a unique experience staying in Japan for a very accommodating price..! You will feel like you are visiting a family house in Korea : ) I also run a Korean restaurant called SAN-MARU downstairs on the first floor and love good food! I pick up fresh bread in the morning from the local bakery across the street for my guests to have a self-serve breakfast. (Coffee and tea is also provided) Upon request, I would be more than happy to prepare you a breakfast or Korean Bento(boxed lunch) for 600JPY ...or a typical Korean dinner for 1,000JPY per person! This is my biggest room in my house that has 2 single beds and up to 4 futons(floor mattress). Nijojo became an UNESCO world heritage site in 1995. Admire the changing seasonal 2,000 Japanese trees, early blossoming plum trees, and autumn foliage (November-mid December), while participating in tea ceremonies held on shrine grounds. **If you are staying the 25th of every month, enjoy a nice stroll through Tenjin-San market, one of Kyoto’s most popular flea markets at KITANO TENMAGU SHRINE. You will see hundreds of vendors selling plants, antiques, tools, toys and crafts are joined by many food stands selling festival food such as yakisoba, karaage and takoyaki. The palace grounds features attractive, broad gravel paths, lawns and tree groves. He is shy, and loves being lazy in the house. **Please let me know if you are uncomfortable with dogs and I will keep him at my other house! My friend has a rental car service(with driver) which you can request for 15,000JPY/day. The tour will be from about 9:00AM- 17:00PM. *Car parking fee is not included and will be paid guests.
