Elphin - your private Leura valley

Elphin is a warm, stylish studio with views from all windows over a beautiful little valley facing north and east, terraced gardens, native ferns and a sunny deck. As you lie in your cozy bed you can watch the trees and birds from beautiful large windows in three different directions. Please do note that if you have any challenges at all with mobility, Elphin is not recommended. The space Elphin is at treetop level on the edge of a small valley. It is the lower level of my home and completely private with separate entrance and a keypad security door. Elphin is a 28sqm studio. Two important points to note are that there is no lounge or lounge room and there is no oven. There is, however, a gas top stove, microwave, small half fridge, many utensils, pots, steamer, herbs and spices, olive and sesame oils, tamari, balsamic, Belotti coffee maker, Vittoria coffee, teapots and organic leaf tea. The designer bathroom features a 1921 Singer sewing machine basin and has a full bath and fantastic rain shower ☺️ Guest access Unfortunately Elphin is really not very suitable people older than 55 or anyone with mobility issues, for the following reasons: 1). Parking is on the street and it is a 50 metre walk on a gravel and dirt drive to Elphin (and my valley). The driveway has no lighting. 2). There are 25 steps to reach Elphin. Some of the steps are not uniform and there is no railing. Before you book it is very important that you let me know if either of these things trouble you. Other things to note * Elphin is within hearing distance of the trains and the highway, like most homes in the mountains. All of the 20 villages, the highway and rail line are clustered along the spine of the Blue Mountains World Heritage area surrounded on both sides by the National Park and enormous valleys and canyons. So while Elphin feels like it's a million miles from nowhere, and it’s difficult to spot another house nearby, you will hear passing trains and trucks. * Parking is on the street and free. It is a safe area for street parking as we are in a very secluded dead end and the Blue Mountains is a safe place to live. It is a 50m walk from the street to Elphin. * Out of respect for our neighbours, please do not park anywhere in the driveway or in the turning circle of the dead end of our street. * Arrival directions and parking details will be sent to you prior to your arrival.
