Camping with Koalas - French Island

With the highest concentration of Koala's in the world and only 1 hr by road from Melbourne French Island is very unique. Come camp on our Chateau Baudin farm, with spectacular views, great walks, wildlife and a relaxing island life style The space Wild Koala's and people who know all about their life cycle. Koala Safari around our property ( we are 300 acres ! ) for no charge ... it's our kind courtesy :-) Camping with spectacular sea views on a working farm. We charge per tent, not per person. We charge full price for any extra tent. We can even lend you a tent and have it set up for you for an extra charge. Plenty of coastal or inland walks. Great opportunities for bird watching. Guest access Catch the train or drive to Stony Point on the Mornington Peninsular. Regular ferries run to the French Island Tankerton Jetty (and even on to Phillip Island). If you let us know when you are coming we can pick you up. Of course we can give you directions to walk. Alternately you can make your way to Corrinella from where you can walk onto a freight barge. Our farm is only 700 metres from this landing point. Either way we can organise transport. For Bike Riders and Walkers it is also possible to Access our Farm via Salt Mine Point Road, stay on our farm then walk through the farm to get to Barge Access Road - particularly for walkers this can make for a way more enjoyable walk.
