Wilderness Ranch House - Los Padres National Forest

Come Experience our big ranch house, located on 300 acres of private property overlooking the Sespe Creek. A remote wilderness location just one hour away from LA. The house is two stories tall and has a large great room and huge couch for sleeping extra guests. WiFi, nature, hiking, wild animals of the forest and stars so bright at night! We are in the country and adjacent To a creek, so most graciously please understand that there are flying insects, bring your spray! The space Morning: Donkey brays... "hee haw" Rooster crows... "Cock a ......." Steel triangle clangs...."breakfast ! come n get it" Noon: Sandwich on the creek-side private patio. Afternoon: Hike up to Hilary's Pad. Huff and Puff. Overlook the entire acreage. NIGHT TIME: Bright stars... so many... Competing for space in the sky Large Kitchen Has a regular full-size oven, stovetop, coffee maker, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, pots, pans, plates, utensils, and a view scene across the creek; Philosopher’s breakfast room. At the fire pit, there is a small charcoal bbq and a fire pit- HIGH FIRE RISK. The ranch is in a High Fire Risk area. You are asked to designate a Fire Chief from your group (please see house rules) to control guest use of bbq and fireplace. Our ranch has hosted Holidays, spiritual renewal, corporate retreats, horse enthusiasts and campers. Many repeat families return to enjoy this exceptional, partially tamed, wilderness. Our bedrooms and bathrooms are all upstairs, not to mention incredible views from any window. **IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE WiFi** The Ranch House is located in a rural area. High speed internet is not available. We have, however, been able to provide satellite internet, and WiFi. The speeds are typically 40mbps download, and 5 mbps upload speeds. If you are used to high speeds, you will not find it here! Legal Streaming movies, Zoom meetings, WiFi calling, etcetera, do not work well at the speeds that satellite internet provides. That being said, social media, email, apps, and other media of that type work well. We do have a plan in place to improve your internet experience, although, we're waiting on the particular provider to have all systems in place. The creek flowing by serves as a great swimming experience. There are charcoal grills outside to bbq on but you must bring your own charcoal. Guest access Entire main ranch house.
