Beach house between La Rochelle and Ile de Ré

In our house we live in/out a good part of the year! The 110 m2 house ensures your comfort and the landscaped garden, terrace and covered courtyard allow you to enjoy the outdoors in all weather. Barbecue and plancha are therefore in the spotlight early in the season! Hammock, bench, deckchair and cushions will also be available to enjoy the sun! Pont de l'Ile de Ré 10 minutes by bike and downtown La Rochelle 15 minutes. Running and amazing walks too! The space House located 10 minutes' walk from the beach in the town of L'Houmeau. We feel on vacation there all year round! With an area of 110 m2, you can enjoy a spacious and well-equipped kitchen on the ground floor, a living room with fireplace and television, a dining area with a table for 8 guests, a laundry room and a toilet. Upstairs you will find a master suite with its bathroom and 2 bedrooms with their own shower room as well as a toilet. In front of the house, you can park in 2 parking spaces. You access the house through a lobby and a small garage used to store the Terrace equipment will also allow you to store bicycles (if you rent them). The large terrace is very pleasant in summer and the small landscaped garden invites you to relax. In the center of the village, you will find small shops (a butcher shop, a bakery, a coop, a pizzeria, a bar, a restaurant as well as the market on Saturday morning). L'Houmeau beach is a 1 km walk. In summer, a very nice guinguette is set up there, and you have the most beautiful view of the area to admire the sunset over the sea every evening 😊! The location is ideal because you are located 5 minutes by car from the Ile de Ré bridge. You can take a shuttle bus that takes you to the island of Ré for free to enjoy the sandy beach of Rivedoux. Other beaches within 20 minutes of the house are also accessible The city center of the beautiful old town of La Rochelle is 10 minutes by car or bus (the bus line is at the end of the street). Enough to combine relaxation by the sea, cultural visits and walks on the port without making long trips. Around the house you can take different bike paths. A very nice walk of several km on the cliff is also to be done! As well as the island of Ré by bike; a must! And of course there are plenty of other places of interest in the area (boat cruise to Fort Boyard, Oléron or Aix, Futuroscope, Marais Poitevin, Mervant Forest etc...). Last thing: if you rent our house you also rent our cat Gaspard😊 :)! He is super cute and very affectionate but also very greedy! You can see the beast in the photo gallery! (Not much to do, just feed it once or twice a day). Guest access The house is in a cul-de-sac. The neighborhood is quiet. You will have access to the whole house and garden. There are 2 parking spaces for you to use in front of the house. 1 awning will be accessible for the storage of your bikes if you rent them. Other things to note A schedule for taking out the trash containers at the end of the street will be posted on the house bulletin board. You'll have to be careful to take them out on collection days. My little cat Gaspard is also "rented" with the house :)! It's a lovely little cat but nevertheless very greedy. I would be very grateful if you could take good care of him and feed him twice a day. Food will be available as well as the instructions in the manual left for your attention.
