Gerry’s Garden Cabin Cosy, quirky, Artists Garden Cabin. Free Parking outside. Own entrance, screened outside patio area in a peaceful location. Easy walk to Whitstable station, town centre and the beach. The Cabin sleeps two adults comfortably, and has a single futon sofa bed in the living area. Extra bedding can be provided for a small fee. It has heating, a separate bathroom with shower, Kitchenette with sink, fridge and microwave. There is a table and chairs, desk, WIFI and radio. The space Gerry’s cabin is located in Whitstable, Kent, United Kingdom. Whitstable is a vibrant area, with excellent local pubs including a few micro pubs such as the Handsome Sam and the Tankerton Arms which add to the charm. The Neptune pub on the beach is a popular place to watch sunsets and hear live music and The Duke of Cumberland and Rock Lodge have events and music most weekends. The Umbrella centre has a café and gardens and monthly farmer’s market and various vintage/craft markets on throughout the year. Stream Walk Trust community garden is a place where people can come for gardening and crafts several times a week. Whitstable has a variety of boutique shops for clothes, quirky gifts and the working harbour and market is open most weekends and weekdays during the summer. Whitstable Castle & Gardens has the Orangery Tea Rooms for lunch or afternoon tea and opposite is Tower Hill tea garden, an old-fashioned tea hut set in wonderful gardens that are set above the 'street' shingle bank in Whitstable. The Hotel Continental is a family run hotel on the seafront and is a short walking distance to the Harbour and the High Street. It has a public Brasserie and Bar overlooking the beach and the Thames Estuary that specialises in local produce and the Famous Whitstable Oyster. We have a wide range of restaurants catering for all tastes from local seafood, Vegan, Mexican, Thai, Indian and Chinese and some great local delis for your picnic on the beach. There are several Fish and Chip shops in town and along the seafront and sitting on the beach watching glorious sunsets is a perfect place to relax and chill with a picnic and glass of wine or beer. The West Beach is a great place to get local oysters and seafood from The Forge or the Harbour and then sit on the beach, go for a swim, make a grotter or go crabbing (crabbing Lines and buckets are free to pick up and return outside the Horsebridge Centre.) The Sportsman, award winning upmarket seaside gastropub utilising local seafood and tasting menus is a short distance away at Faversham Rd, Seasalter, Whitstable. Guest access The garden cabin is totally private with blinds and blackout curtains. It has windows and french doors in the lounge which open onto your own patio area with table and chairs outside. It is cool in the mornings and gets the afternoon sun. Other things to note • The cabin has its own side entrance. Please only bring laptops/phones with you. I can let you have use of an iron, washing machine etc There are no cooking facilities in the cabin, only a kitchenette area with a sink. Plates, cups, dishes and cutlery are provided and there is a fridge, microwave, kettle and tea and coffee making equipment. Milk and cereal bars are provided. • 2 Local pubs, a micro-brewery, fish and chip shop, cafe and Co-op store (with cashpoint inside) are 5 mins walk. The High Street also has a wide variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars to suit a variety of tastes and budget. There is secure parking for bikes.
