During your stay When I retired, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred on March 11, 2011, and a series of unexpected events occurred. I had the luxury of a once-in-a-lifetime trip around the world, visiting 30 countries. I was completely dumbfounded when I couldn't take the hearing test during such an important opportunity. That disappointment fueled my decision to study abroad to learn a language. I lived alone as a student abroad. It felt like my youth. When I returned to Japan three years later, I felt like a "returnee?" It was funny, but I felt invincible. In 2018, the Private Lodging Act was enacted, and I started a private lodging business with my husband, a self-taught English literature expert. Difficult Times At age 43, I took my first two-week trip to Europe. It changed my life and I became addicted to traveling abroad. I cried my eyes out on a bus in Paris. An interpreter talks about a political system and people's lives that value the family unit. All the lights in the buildings go out at 5 o'clock. We have dinner together as a family every weekday night. In Japan, husbands were sold off to corporate slaves, with women working twice as hard, leading to the breakdown of families. For most people in their 40s, it was a pointless battle between gender inequality and unproductive families. Soon, Japanese schools and children became unruly. Japanese people felt lonely and angry. The differences with the French system were so stark that I was in tears during the culture shock. Since then, I began to embark on budget trips every February, calling it "self-training," and getting my colleagues involved, this continued until I retired. Later, during a difficult time at work, I learned from my travels that Japanese politics was wrong. I encouraged myself by telling myself, "True justice and freedom exist in the world." That's how immature I was. My hobby is watching movies at the cinema. If I had three hours of free time, I would be there. I would live the story of a movie on the screen. I'm sure I'm more curious than most. Meeting all of you is a joy. 1. My special skill is kimono dressing. I obtained my first-class instructor license after two years of night school. Take a commemorative photo in a kimono, and if you'd like, try wearing a kimono for the first time as a memento of your trip. (2 hours) ② Car tour of sightseeing spots and dinner provided. A wonderful place highly recommended by locals: "Lake Shikotsu and Marukoma, with its 130-year history." We'll drive you there to show you its charms. 10:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Breathe in the majestic panorama of Lake Shikotsu. We'll take you to a relaxing open-air bath recommended by the Secret Hot Springs Association. (7 hours, 2 people) ③ We love banquets that allow guests to shine!! Drinks are on your own/costs are split. We provide and set up venues for hand-rolled sushi parties, takoyaki parties, BBQ parties, and more (volunteer). Cheering will come when our prized plum wine is served! The fun and excitement is so great that some reviews describe it as "the best memory of the trip."
