Palm Twin Room in Kanferri Villa has two single beds, with large windows where you can relax and enjoy our garden views. The space Kanferri Villa is your resort if you want to relax and have adventures or a nice lazy day ! _________________________ Kanferri Villa is located at the quiet neighbourhood of Kathaluwa in the middle of the jungle, next to Koggala Lake, a few meters away from the ancient Buddhist temple of Kathaluwa and 10 min walk from the Kathaluwa virgin beach where you can see against the backdrop of the vast blue ocean, the group of stilt fishermen seated on a narrow pole tied to a stick. The day begins early around 5 even before sunrise when they get on their poles and they fish till about 8 or 9 a.m. after which they sell their catch to the buyers who come to their location. Around 3 p.m they return for the evening session and stay on till sunset. A few kilometres away from the Villa you can find the historical walled city of Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Around there you can visit Kanneliya Forest Reserve, do a tour at Madol Duwa Koggala Lake, go on a Glass Bottom Boat Ride – Hikkaduwa, Body Surfing off Dickwella, Mask Museum, Ambalangoda and Whale Watching off Mirissa. If you are looking for a more crowded beach with more services like bars your spot is Unawatuna beach, but maybe you are gonna be delighted by all the beautiful little beaches on your way where you can be almost alone …. For those who like surf, we are 1 km away from the famous Kabalana beach one of the most well known surfing spots in southern Sri Lanka area, with some surf schools and surf board rental. You can also enjoy Koggala Beach where the “stilt fishermen” can be seen, something you can’t miss and visit turtle farms. One of the activities that we offer in Kanferri Villa is a boat ride on Lake Koggala with our local guide and friend, Madura. Various islands feature different attractions such as a cinnamon plantation, the Ananda Spice Garden, and a Buddhist temple attracting many visitors on soya (full moon) days.
