The space Welcome to Nornalup Homestead, a unique and nurturing escape for nature lovers. Whether you're a solo traveller, a couple, or a group of friends or family, you'll find a warm and rejuvenating stay on our 68 hectares of forest and farmland. The fully self-contained 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom farmhouse comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests. With separate lounge and living rooms, there's plenty of space for everyone to relax. Sleep well on comfortable mattresses topped with warm doonas and blankets. Enjoy a home away from home with everything you need: Lounge: Cozy up by the large stone fireplace (firewood and kindling supplied), read a book from our library in a rocking chair, or play a board game. We also have a Bluetooth sound system, books, toys, and board games. Living: a separate living area with a Smart TV, children’s toys and a workspace gives extra space for your whole group. Kitchen: Cook up a feast in the modern kitchen, complete with an espresso machine and a stovetop coffee maker for your favourite brew. Comfort: After a day of exploring, enjoy a soak in the insulated two-person bath. The bedrooms are equipped with electric heaters for your comfort. Work & Family: A dedicated workspace and free 4G Wi-Fi are available. For families with little ones, a cot, baby bath, high chair and changing table are provided. Convenience: A washing machine, dryer, and an EV charger are all on-site for your use. Guest Access Enjoy a seamless arrival with self check-in. You will have access to the entire farmhouse and are free to roam through our 28 hectares of green paddocks and 40 hectares of karri, tingle, and sheoak forest. Your stay includes access to our private jetty on the Frankland River, perfect for a swim, picnic, or simply watching the day go by. Ample free driveway parking is available on the premises for up to 8 vehicles. Spaces that are not accessible to guests include the shed, garden shed, linen cupboard, cleaning cupboard, and storeroom. The Neighbourhood Watch the sunrise paint the sky from the veranda and gaze up at a panorama of stars when night falls. Your days can be spent discovering the stunning beaches, inlets, and rivers of the Walpole-Nornalup National Park. Ponder the fascinating history of the property and visit the registered cemetery and sunset bench on the property. You can swim, fish, paddle, or go boating from our private jetty. Please note that jetty access is seasonal, as high winter water levels may mean it is underwater. Getting Around Nornalup Homestead is the perfect base for exploring the region's natural wonders. We are located near the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, the world-renowned Bibbulmun Track for walking and the Munda Biddi Trail for cycling. Ask us about local trail transfers and other services we can offer to support your walking and cycling adventures. Important Information Second Listing: Please note, we have a tiny house on the property called Sanctuary Train, which may also be hosting guests. It is located about 250 metres from the homestead with a separate driveway. You may see a glimpse of each other's rooftops and may encounter other guests while walking around the property. We ask that you respect each other's privacy by not entering the other's designated yard. Shared Jetty: Our private jetty on the Frankland River/Kwakoorilup is shared with guests of Sanctuary Train. If it is in use upon your arrival, the Canoeing Launching Jetty is less than 50 metres away, and the Nornalup Boat Ramp is about 150 metres away. We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Minang Noongar Boodjar Nation, and respect their continued connection to this beautiful place. We respect all Minang Elders past and present, emerging leaders, and all First Nations people. Please respect the privacy of guests staying in our tiny house, Sanctuary Train. Other things to note Nornalup Homestead is located on a working farm in a rural setting. We agist our paddocks to a neighbouring farmer. You may see him or his workers on the property at times. We may also be on the property at times, completing farm work, maintenance and collecting firewood. We will always attempt to let you know when we are on the property. There may be flies, insects and other native animals on the property. We have chosen a Moderate cancellation policy. All guests are covered by AirBnB's Air Cover insurance, however, we also recommend guests take out COVID and travel insurance to ensure they are covered in all situations.
