Skywatch Observatory and Fulldome theatre- A place for couples, families or small groups to relax and enjoy our majestic dark skies. Included in your booking * Private suite of rooms in our large mud brick residence and * A full cooked breakfast, available after 7:30 am. * Exclusive 16” telescope tour of the night sky from our Sky Deck * 6 metre fulldome theatre for educational astronomy experience - extended sessions for cloudy nights. * Use of Garden and Fire Pit (weather permitting) The space Skywatch Observatory is a large mud brick building with local timber features and has been set up for you to have privacy and comfort while you view the stars or visit the other attractions of Coonabarabran and the Warrumbungle Shire. Each evening you are invited to discover the majesty of our night sky on our Sky Deck using our 16 inch Dobsonian telescope for visual observation of the moon, planets and various deep sky objects. If conditions permit we will also image nebulae, clusters and galaxies with our astrophotography telescope.  In the event of cloudy weather and for in depth astronomical education we have a 6 metre planetarium dome and a selection of astronomy and science themed movies to both educate and delight the senses If you decide to spend a couple nights in our private suite accommodation, your stay will include: * Exclusive Night Sky Tour including astrophotography (when clear) and planetarium shows. * Full country breakfast, with fresh tea/coffee and fruit.
