This is a real sanctuary. We have created the family equivalent of a couple's retreat. Decorated with a down to earth coastal style, many of the pieces have been gathered from travels and local stores. Our guests often remark that they feel like they are being welcomed into a warm, much-loved home. You can only hear the back beach waves from our quiet neighbourhood, and the birds. Our road is a back road, and unlike much of Rye and Blairgowrie you won't hear cars from the main roads. You have a lush large landscaped front and back garden where you can unfold one of the sun lounges and read, watch the kids bounce for hours on the trampoline or just rest and enjoy the peace. BBQ always ready to go with a fantastic outdoor dining area. Help yourself to the plentiful herb garden for your cooking. Our home sleeps 5. Main bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and wardrobe Second bedroom has 1 single bunk bed (2 singles) + 1 king single bed + trundle bed (junior mattress available for trundle if required) Two living areas, one with TV and working fireplace. The second living area (TV room) can be closed off to the main house for privacy and to separate the zones in the house. One bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower. Separate toilet. Laundry room includes top loading washing machine and microwave Digital TV is available by connecting your phone to Chromecast so you can watch your own Netflix and other streaming services easily & Wifi Air Conditioning and ducted heating throughout. Private Car Parking for up to 3 cars Walk ten minutes to discover your own special ocean beach perfect for a beach picnic. The kids will love the choice of beaches on offer. If you enjoy walking, there are some wonderful coastal walks nearby and bike riding is fantastic with longer rides easily accessible as well as a short ride to Blairgowrie Village. Blairgowrie Village offers the best in local wines, a local butcher, fish and chip shop, cafes, a great homewares store, newsagent, chemist, fabulous bread and other delicacies that you will find hard to resist! Close by, you can spend the afternoon at the Peninsula Hot Springs, ride a horse on the beach with Mornington Peninsula Horse Riding Centre, or play a game of golf.. all just minutes away. Otherwise all outdoor activities are minutes away, be it scuba diving, mountain bike riding, surfing, swimming, walking and a lot more. Take your time finding the different beaches along the Mornington Peninsula, from the popular Shelley's Beach in Sorrento to Gunnamatta or St Andrews. If you love food and wine, this is the perfect region. Red Hill boasts some of Victoria's best wineries and vineyards, perfect for long lunches and tastings, Berry picking farms, Horse Riding Trails & Nature Walks.
