Sycamore Cottage, Fingask Castle, Rait, Perthshire

Our place is half way between Perth and Dundee. About an 1 hr from Edinburgh and 1 hr 15m from Glasgow. Hidden in the Perthshire countryside, on a hillside with gardens and wooded areas to explore, Fingask has a magic about it and feels like it is far away from the world (it's only 5 mins off the A90). This cottage is good for couples, solo adventurers and for families with kids. Pets are welcome too, though please do not leave them alone for extended periods unless in their crate. The space Sycamore is a two storey cottage, in the corner of the courtyard. The back door leads onto the shared lawn (garden furniture provided in the spring and summer), the front door leads onto the courtyard and parking area. Ground floor - open plan sitting/dining/kitchen. The fully fitted kitchen has a fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is an open wood fireplace in the sitting area (starter 'pack' of logs provided). On the first floor - one double bedroom, one twin bedroom with a hand basin. The bathroom contains a bath, shower cubical and toilet. The heating in this cottage is electric, which is included in the cost. Guest access Guests are welcome to stroll around the grounds which were first laid out in the 17th Century by the ancestors of the present owner. Please respect the families privacy and avoid the area immediately around the Castle. We have at Fingask a games room with a full sized snooker table, table tennis and table football. The pool is heated and open from Easter till October or when it becomes too cold, it is outdoors! Next to the pool is the tennis court, raquets are available for loan from the office. Other things to note If we have a wedding during your stay, we would ask that you please avoid the front of the Castle and the Pavilion.
