In summer, stargaze on our deck and light up the fire pit. In winter, frolick in the snow, hike our frozen waterfall, or just sit by the wood burning stove. Stroll Sickler road to see fall colors on Mt. Oldenbark. Spring brings the snow runoff and our waterfall rushes and the flowers bloom! Our quiet mountainside perch is a four-season getaway comfortable for up to six adults. Right between Woodstock (10 min) and Phoenicia (15 min). Stay and find out why I call it the Owl’s Nest! Centrally located halfway between Woodstock and Phoenicia, just over 2 hours from NYC. 30 minutes from Hunter and 20 minutes from Catamount. Our house brings the outdoors in through its well-placed windows and its tasteful woodwork throughout. Walk out the door and hike into our incredible 2.5 acre mountainside backyard for a waterfall, thick trees, and perfect Catskill views! Or just sit on the deck OR in our screened-in porch and relax, or build a fire inside in the beautiful wood-burning stove. We have been coming to the Catskills for years and this property has it all--beautiful inside and out, centrally located, and not another house in view from our property. Guest access You will have access to the whole house and grounds. Other things to note Our rates include a required 2% Room Occupancy Tax, you will see our certificate on display at the house. There is no cell service in Lake Hill, NY. We have a land line on the property that you may use for your convenience. Our wireless internet is usually all you'll need to connect to the grid but note cell service independent of wifi is challenging in this region! We also do NOT have a microwave oven. Sorry!
