Our loft apartment has one bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom, living room with vaulted ceiling, and a fully equipped kitchen. Linens are provided but no meals are included. There is much to do in this part of the Catskills. We are 10 minutes from Bethel Woods, the original site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. For chamber music, try the Weekend of Chamber Music Festival in July. There are many folk and bluegrass concerts, church and firehouse barbecues and pancake breakfasts; check the Sullivan County Visitors' Association for event listings. 1906, a restaurant in Callicoon, offers locally-sourced food. Our local Slow Food chapter has events throughout the year. Our local public radio station, WJFF radio, has special events throughout the year. Local weekly farmers market are open May through November. Twice a week during winter there is an indoor market in Callicoon, located about 17 minutes away. Crystal Lake is about 10 miles away on New York State land. An afternoon at the lake is a glimpse into a part of New York State virtually untouched by development. There are no services offered there. It is perfect for a leisurely hike and refreshing swim. Other things to note We are very dog friendly. There is a pull out couch to accommodate additional guests beyond the suggested 2 adult, 1 small child recommended max for the space.
