Owned by the Edward Bell family, the founders of Bellwood, this area was originally referred to as Bell's Mills (the family owned several mills) and then Bell's Woods (nearly three thousand acres were controlled by this successful, wealthy family). The Bell Mansion was completely restored and enhanced in 1995 by means of a nearly two million dollar grant obtained by Antis Township through the generosity of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission. Grocery Store and Dollar Store across Main Street. Post Office, Laundromat, Library, Full service restaurant, Oriental and pizza place with delivery just a few short blocks away. Also Sheets and Martins gas stations less than 1/2 mile. Large well lit off street parking, all level, vehicles right to the door. Also two banks and Police and Fire Departments are within blocks.
