House with stunning view over Lake Como
Description
A beautifully restored house with three balconies and a barbeque area, all with a fantastic view over the lake. It is quiet in a small traditional village with no cars, only small passages between the houses. It is a great location for water sports, hiking, mountain biking, or just playing around on the beach. The house has an inflatable pool for kids. Dogs are welcome. Large public parks and beaches are at the waterfront, with a large activity center. The space Perfect for active families looking for a quiet place in an old Italian village, or those who just are looking for a tranquil place with a great view in a traditional stone house fully restored. There is no noize from traffic or Vespas:). The mountains provide stunning views and are perfect for hiking in and Mountain biking. Other activities: Windsurfing Sailing Kiting Paragliding Hiking Cycling - There are two used bikes in the garage for use. Moutain biking is awesome! Read more about tracks and MTB below. You can rent all the equipment you need from the activity center at the waterfront. http://www.tabosurf.com/it/ Bathing in the lake is kind of obvious:) But try the river at Crotto Dangri not far from Livo. One of the images in this presentation is from there. Fun for kids. Boat around Lago Di Como Lake Como is littered with charming small towns, villas, and museums well worth a visit. Ferries are crisscrossing the lake, and you can hop on and of as you please. Bellagio is the most famous where the rich and famous plays around:) The ferries go from Domaso and Colico. http://lakecomotravel.com/boat-tours-ferry-lake-como/ Maps for hiking and biking I recommend Wievranger for good maps revealing a lot of hidden tracks for hiking and mountain biking. You can download the maps to your smartphone and use them offline. It's also a perfect planning tool. http://www.viewranger.com/en-US Google Earth is great to view the topography. Moutain biking Como is an eldorado for mountain biking. There are MTB tracks everywhere ranging from easy to difficult. You can rent MTB bikes at the activity center. I will recommend a trip on an electric full suspension MTB! It's Giant Full E or similar. Your life will never be the same:) Some tracks to explore: Traciolino is one of the most spectacular routes. Monte di Tremezzo https://bit.ly/2rcv3Ns PS - There are a lot of easy trips as well.:) An easy way up to the mountain is to continue the road behind the house. It's an easy but steep paved road all the way up. From the top, there are several dirt tracks down. Use Viewranger to find some cool tracks. Most of the paths look like hiking paths, but they can be great fun on a bike as well. There are more trips on our facebook page. You will get access to when booking (Airbnb rules). Wine tasting The Valtellina valley has been a wine producing area for more than 2,000 years. When driving up from Gera Lario, you will see it on the right Fantastic view! Albergo Ristorante Lario (Hotel Albergo) have a good restaurant close to the waterfront. Bar Peace great for lunch. Winter activities In the winter you are close to winter destinations like Madesimo, one hour drive, St Moritz one hour, Chiesa di Valmalenco one hour, Bormio 2 hours. Internet We use data roaming on our mobile phones, and the speed is good for work and Netflix. There is no WiFi in the house. How to get here By car, train or plane. If you want to get her by plane, you can fly to Bergamo, Malpensa, and Linate (Milano) and rent a car. Its about 1 hours and 45 minutes drive from all of them. We recommend having a car to get around. Guest access Normal check-in is 16.00. Normal check out is 10.00 local time. If the house gets new guest the same day you come or leave. If not please ask and we are very flexible. TOURISTIC TAX The tourist tax of € 1.00/night per person (for a maximum of 5 nights), introduced from 1 January 2024, is paid upon arrival at the house.
