This traditional Logis set in the beautiful countryside surrounding the Boutonne valley, close to local amenities in the very popular market town of Chef Boutonne. Originally built as a Manor house with vineyard in the Mid 19th Century, this imposing Logis later became a working farm and more recently restored to provide a detached Owners maison de maitre and four quality self-catering Gites The space The Logis is approached along a private tree lined avenue, offering ample shaded parking, through grand entrance gates into a fountain courtyard. The farmhouse and four holiday cottages are around the main courtyard and each has their own private gardens. Guest access The four cottages share a secured 10 x 5m swimming pool and a second swimming pool 8 x 4m. Both swimming pools overlook the south facing gardens where there is boule, badminton, short tennis and swings. In the Grange, an open barn, there is a common games room including table tennis, pool table and bar football. All racquet and games equipment is provided. The pool complex has a pool house with shower, wash basin and wc and a shaded area where you can enjoy while escaping from the heat of the day. Wi-Fi Internet access is available on site free of charge. Other things to note We want you to have the best holiday possible here at lovely Logis de Lussais and look forward to welcoming you! These are a few things which might be useful for you to know before your arrival: HEATING IS NOT INCLUDED. THE COST IS €50 PER WEEK TO COVER THE EXTRA ELECTRICITY DEMANDE. (€7.50 per day). •Baby equipment (travel cot, high chair, baby bath and stair gates available with prior notice and must be reserved in advance of your arrival) The accommodation price includes all bedding, bath and hand towels, kitchen towels and electricity. We have a separate laundry room with 2 washing machines in the pool house for guests use. We ask that you use Anti-scale liquid in addition to your laundry detergent (such as Calgon available in the supermarkets). This will ensure that the washing machine performs better as the water is very hard in our area. •Extra folding bed (must be reserved in advance) •Please, bring your own pool towels as these are not supplied. (swimming pools are closed from October to April) •Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pets and smoking is prohibited in the Gîte. •Each of our Gîte has a Skybox which gives you the basic Sky TV package. However, if you would like to access your Sky account to increase the viewing channels, please bring your own Sky card •WIFI is free in all our Gîtes however the Internet service in our area may be intermittent at times and not always efficient •The mobile phone signal is good generally in our area •We have 2 supermarkets in Chef Boutonne which are open Monday to Saturday 10:00hrs to 20:00hrs as well as Sunday morning where you will find a wide selection of food and drink items and charcoal for the BBQ.
