Tent Hut in a Beachfront Forest

We offer our guests more comfortable camping options at our forest campsites nestled amongst the tall indigenous trees and greenery on our large, beachfront property. We have 4 uniquely constructed 'Tent Huts' located at either BAOBAB or FLAMBOYANT CAMP. Each camp offers outdoor, shared facilities. *We also offer a variety of other unique accommodation choices at our resort. The space Crafted by local artisans, these canvas tents have screened windows to minimise bugs, and are protected by a makati roof that assists in keeping you cool. Tent Huts typically come with twin beds, bed linen and bath towels. There is wifi, a power point, a portable floor fan , a side light and a shelf unit for clothing storage. Each tent has its own concrete patio area with a table and two chairs. Campers make use of the camps communal bush kitchens, which are fully equipped for self-catering, and there are shared outdoor toilets, showers, and wash areas within each camp area. Our guests appreciate peace and quiet in this lush, treed location. It’s a short walk to our pool or directly down to the beach. *DISCLAIMER* PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN BOOKING ANY OF THESE TENT HUTS YOU WILL BE ALLOCATED WHICHEVER ONE IS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME Guest access Guests have use of all common areas. Our lovely, chilled BAMBA KOFI SNACKBAR is exclusively available to all our guests – Breakfasts can be enjoyed here every morning, and other meals & refreshments can be ordered throughout the day. *We do recommend ordering ahead to help us get your meals to you without too much of a wait! We offer fast speed Wifi throughout our property and have a solar backup system at the Snackbar Clubhouse, to ensure constant connectivity. You have access to our sparkling, salt water pool to cool off, chill on the sun beds, read, or doze. There are several chill areas around the property and at the top of the Clubhouse you will find The Rooftop Lounge. For an extra special addition to your relaxation, we have an exclusive massage oasis overlooking the ocean where you can indulge in a SEA BREEZE MASSAGE. If you need a little activity, why not try a game of Pétanque or Table Tennis? Explore Watamu on an E-Bike for hire, or take a Kite Surfing lesson... all these are available from our resort. Other things to note Watamu offers many activities and places to visit, and easy access to shops and restaurants along Turtle Bay Road and in Watamu Village. Simply arrange a Boda Boda or Tuk Tuk with our staff. We have 24 hour security, a fire safety station, and access to panic buttons in an emergency. All our units are serviced daily by our housekeeping team. *We unfortunately do experience general, national power outages which are out of our control - we do have generators available as a back-up during the day & up until 10 pm only. We adhere to a strict "no noise" policy after this time, to be considerate to all our guests wanting a peaceful night’s sleep, so no generators can be operated during the late night hours.
