Cotton Wood Lodge Riverside Hideaway

The Lodge is well insulated to modern standards with double glazing and a wood burner, making it a very cosy off grid bolthole in the most extremes of winter weather. Situated yards away from the River Camel nestled in Cotton Wood SSI. The space The Lodge sleeps 2 adults max or two adults and 1 child. Sleeping arrangements are on two levels- a ground floor level and an upper bunk level. Ground Floor can sleep 2 people, either adult or children. You have the option of two single beds which can be configured to one large double if preferred. The Upper Bunk is 4′ x 6′ in size and is able to sleep 1 person. The pitched ceiling serves as a cozy den so we do suggest this is perfect for children between the ages of 6 -11 years. Access is via a ladder. Please see the Lodge pictures. Prices vary dependent on time of year. Guest access Not far from Wadebridge, nestled within 25 acres of privately owned secluded Cornish woodland, you will find, ‘The Lodge’. We suggest you treat your visit as ‘a camping trip without the need of a tent’. A visit to Cotton Wood is one that is suited to people who want to get back to basics with a feel of the wilderness, but within easy access back onto the Camel Trail and civilisation should you need it! Other things to note A single hob camping stove is availble if you should want to make a simple meal or boil water without having to light the wood burner. A solar panel provides lighting as well as a USB socket for charging phones. (please note that the sun doesn't always shine in Cornwall, so we can't guarantee a constant power source!). Fresh drinking water is supplied, there is also a compost toilet, although there is no shower facility at present, there are deep pools along the river for wild swimmers and the hardy!
