ABOUT HEATING AND COOLING Italy have laws about energy saving. The maximum temperature allowed in the houses in winter is 19° ( 66 Fahrenheit ) whit 2 degrees of tolerance during the heating period, and the minimum temperature allowed in summer during the cooling period is 27° (80 Fahrenheit) with 2 degrees of tolerance. This means in winter the temperature must not go over 21° centigradi ( 66 Fahrenheit ) and in summer must not be under 25° ( 77 Fahrenheit ), so the heating will not work if temperature is not under 21° and the A/C must not be used if the temperature is lower than 25°. More than this, in Venice ( Zone E ) the heating plant must be used only between october 15th and april 15th. We ask our guest to respect these rules, wearing appropriate dress depending on the season. If you like to wear T-shirt in winter and pullover in summer, this is not your apartment!
