Tremodrett Barn is a luxury two-bedroom, two bathroom, contemporary barn conversion. Furnished in boutique-hotel style, it nestles amongst five adjacent barns on a private estate surrounded by fields and open countryside. Tremodrett is a tranquil, leafy hamlet a mile and a half from the A30 main road through Cornwall and gives easy access to both coasts and all of the county. Graded 5 stars according to Visit England standards, you are assured of a comfortable holiday. The space The open-plan living area with Juliet balcony is on the first floor with a dramatic ceiling soaring into the eaves with beams and large roof lights creating a sunny light-flooded area. Sofas are by Laura Ashley and lighting by OKA. The modern kitchen is well equipped with e.g. professional quality pans, Sophie Conran china and food processors. We also provide cookery books by Nathan Outlaw, Rick Stein and Mary Berry to provide a little inspiration! There are two downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms ( twin with en-suite and a family bathroom). The king-size bedroom has a contemporary oak four-poster bed ( we love to spoil our guests and a little luxury is essential on holiday, isn't it?) and French doors opening onto the courtyard where you can pop out for a morning coffee at the bistro table. The large twin bedroom is a dramatic room with roof sloping into the eaves - children and adults alike will love this space! There is a new contemporary en-suite shower-room in the twin bedroom . A third room is set up as a TV den/quiet room - perfect for children to chill and give a little respite to the grown-ups! There is a sunny garden at the front of the barn overlooking open fields and barns with a slate patio area for dining for 4 together with a kettle BBQ. The garden is furnished with palms, bamboo and flowers which thrive in Cornwall's mild climate and a long low raised bed with flowers and shrubs. The rear courtyard is shared with two other barns and decorated with mature hydrangeas and other shrubs. We have a bistro table and chairs for two. The estate is surrounded by open fields and mature trees. We even have our own resident wood-pecker! There is ample parking for 3/4 cars in our designated parking space. Fibre broadband provided. In winter we arrange the furniture so guests can keep cosy in front of the fire (electric with real fire effect). Guest access The whole of the property is let for guests' exclusive use, including our garden along the length of the barn and patio by the main entrance. The rear courtyard is shared with two other barns. Other things to note Access - there is a flight of steps down from the car park and four further steps on the access path which is around our neighbour's barn. Access from the A30 is in part via a wide, quiet, single road (plenty of passing places but you just have to slow down to Cornish pace on a bend or two!). Child Safety Gate - we provide a gate but please note the manufacturer does not recommend it is used on stairs.
