Lakefront retreat with huge screened-in porch

Kick back on the screened-in porch or the dock and take in the view, or enjoy our kayaks. Community's amenities: golf course, 2 lakes, 8 beaches, outdoor pools, horseback riding, walking trails, parks/playgrounds, and a clubhouse for dinner, drinks, and Sunday brunch, all with a fabulous view of the 550-acre “big lake.” For history buffs, the area is rich in Civil War history and battlefields. Local wineries offer tastings and live music. [Due to health conditions, no pets or service animals.] The space The house is spacious, with separate living spaces on each of the 3 floors. On the top floor there are two bedrooms (one with a view of the lake and a queen bed and one with two twin beds), a loft with comfy seating and a TV, and a full bathroom. On the main floor is the primary bedroom (queen bed) with a view of the lake and sliding glass doors to the 33' x 11.5' screened-in porch. Also on the main floor is a bathroom with a shower, kitchen, and living room with a TV and a wood-burning fireplace. The large dining table seats 8 comfortably. On the lower level is another bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a recreation room that includes a small pool table and an assortment of board games. The lower level has sliding glass doors to the patio and backyard, where there is a charcoal grill, a fire pit, a picnic table, and kayaks (3) and stand-up paddle boards (2, which also convert to sit-on-top kayaks) for your use. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, except for two locked owners' closets. You do not share any part of the house or grounds with anyone else. Other things to note An assortment of life jackets is available for your use. Our insurance company does not allow us to provide inflatable toys for use in the lake, but we hope you will bring your own. When you arrive at the house you will find clean sheets on top of the beds (our housecleaner likes to do it this way so guests know they are getting clean sheets). It's in the rental agreement, but we like people to know in advance that they need to take their garbage to the trash facility that is in the community (about a one-minute drive from the entrance to the community).
