Island time with trees, sea and birds

Enjoy island life in this spacious family home. Set amongst towering redwood trees with the tide coming and going at your doorstep. Once here, you can't help but relax. The house has a welcoming warm, arty vibe with a nautical touch. Enjoy the views of native bush. Listen and watch the birdlife. Weka, tui, fantail, kereru, ruru, kaka, shags, herons, oyster catchers.....and KIWI at night! You will hear them calling and if patient enough you may even get to see one. The space The house is a 10-15 minute walk along the shoreline from our all-tide Starboard Wharf, where the ferry or water taxi will drop you off. If bringing your own boat the anchoring is good and you can pick up and drop off from the all-tide wharf or tidal jetty in front of the house. Being NW facing it is sunny and sheltered from the wind. Situated up Starboard Arm which is a tidal estuary. Guest access Guests can access the whole house. Other things to note Please bring your own bed linen (or sleeping bags) bath linen and beach towels. This is because we rely on rainwater only and are prone to droughts. We provide pillows, duvets, blankets, pillowcases, tea towels, hand towels, bath mats and dish cloths.
