Cabin #5 is a cozy getaway located on the beautiful Rangeley Lake. Guests have direct access to the lake via 100 meter walk to the dock. You will be a less than 5 minute drive to a bustling main street with great local shops and eateries. This is a quaint one room cabin that overlooks Rangeley Lake. I would consider it luxuriously primitive. It has running water, electricity, and wifi. A trip to the lake provides time for reflection or adventure. Guests have access to the whole cabin. Guests may use owner's kayaks. They are located on a rack on the dock and labeled with the number 5. Paddles and PFDs are located in the cabin locker in the boathouse, also labeled number 5. Please note that Maine law states that all boats must have a life jacket available for each passenger. Please feel free to use the shared docks to relax by the lake. I am often working but will ensure someone can assist guests if needed throughout their stay. Cabin #5 is part of a seven cabin community called The Terraces. Many other cabins get rented but mostly are weekend getaways for their owners. The community is quiet and asks that guests keep a respectable volume as well. There are 3 docks that are shared by The Terraces and guests are welcome to enjoy the use of the docks. The cabin is located only a few miles away from downtown Rangeley. If you are looking for good BBQ head the The Shed, it is at the far end of Main Street. Looking for finer dinning? Check out Forks in the Air Bistro (one of my favorites) There are plenty of shops along Main St. don't forget to check out Gifford's of Maine ice cream, served at Pine Tree Frosty. Main Street even has a local movie theater, artisan coffee, and an outdoor gear store. There is no public transportation but you can reach many attractions by car, bike, or boat. There are some dogs that may be on the property, many cabin owners have dogs. They are all friendly and may look for attention. Please do not feed them.
