You won’t want to leave especially with the peace and quiet, views, world class surf break out your front door and a personal cook. When the surf is flat there is are a ton of spectacular sites to explore around the north. Leave the scene and crowds of GL behind and get a good feel for old Siargao! The space Our 2700 sq ft home is nestled on top a 60 ft cliff amidst the thick greenery of natural forest and tropical flowers, contrasted by beautiful rock formations. The expansive property terraces off providing an infinity feel as you look out unhindered over the vast pacific ocean, uncrowded world class surf breaks and the coastline from Burgos to Allegria. It's a million dollar view! From the large master bedroom wake up to fresh ocean breeze, sounds of nature and a sunrise that takes your breath away. Many beautiful species of colourful birds dart in and out of the forest early mornings. Philippine eagles and hornbills love to soar just overhead. Flying foxes and big monitor lizards can be spotted often. Due to the position of our home you can end the day with a glass of wine watching the sunset painted sky: Fire flies often light up the forested part of the property. Fall asleep to the sounds of nature as waves break at the base of the cliff and sounds of nature comes alive. Much of your time will surely be spent relaxing and enjoying the view from the terrace off the master bedroom or in the lanai. A rustic stairway (100 steps with no railing) through the forested area on our property takes you down to a private landing with access to the ocean. Cool off with a swim, and snorkel on medium / low tide. We love to explore the coast line at low tide dipping in pools, exploring caves and enjoying the tranquillity and privacy with no other people or development around. For surfers paddle directly out from the landing to an epic A frame surf. The first of many breaks that grace the shores of north Siargao. We absolutely love Burgos and the people! It’s where I have spent the last 27 years and where we raised our kids. We founded and continue to oversee a non profit organization serving north Siargao. 10% of profit after expenses supports Hope for the Island community based programs. Vangie our long time cook /helper is available daily to serve guests (except Sundays). Vangie prepares 1 authentic local meal a day. This is a highlight for most of our guests. Especially nice to come home to a fresh home cooked meal after touring around or surfing. Some guests also enjoy helping and learning in the kitchen. The groceries are shouldered by the grocery. Note: Vangie serves guests only 3x a week during month + stays.. She has worked many years for us and is part of the family. She is a lovely lady who will make you feel so welcome and pampered that you will struggle to go back home! For guests that prefer privacy and cooking on their own during their stay please let us know so we can inform Vangie to focus attention on her gardens instead. You are about to experience the perfect place to unwind and escape from the stress and business of life. We have been hosting family, friends and tourists for 27+ years while living in Siargao. Be assured we will do all that we can to make this a memorable experience. Guest access The large master bedroom covers entire front of 2nd floor with beautiful unique views from all windows. This room has a work space, large walk in closet and Air conditioning. The 2 single smaller rooms for extra guests have back yard garden views with fans. A stairway leads to an overlooking rooftop with amazing views of ocean, dense forested mountains and star gazing :) great private space to sunbath. Be careful though sun is very hot in summer months. At the base of the cliff (2 minute walk down the road) we oversee a non profit located on the beach. You can enjoy the beach, swim and surf. Take advantage of the following activities: skate ramp, full length basketball / tennis court and beach volleyball. So many beaches and sites to explore around our place. A very popular cave exporation with crystal clear pools to swim inside is just down the road. Guides are available daily. Note: We recently constructed a fortified storm shelter under the overlooking lanai that provides our guests extra assurance and safety in the face of potential heavy typhoons that frequent Philippines. Our storm shelter can withstand destructive winds and at 60ft above sea level provides sanctuary from any tsunami / tidal surge. In the meantime the shelter / suite is private space not accessible to guests. Note: There is a standard shower at back of lanai open to guests use. Note as pain management I will schedule use of shower only when guests are out and about. I have an ice cold water set up that connects to that outdoor shower room Other things to note Relax and unwind after a long day of sun filled Island excursion by having an amazing massage at home for 500 pesos! The local masseuse has been known to help guests with physical ailments. Airport pick up can be arranged once we have your domestic travel details. Free starlink wifi is available for guests who want to stay connected / work. Guests can buy basic grocery and produce in nearby burgos town. We also have some organic produce in our backyard gardens that vangie can harvest to include to your meal. There are a variety of restaurants along the road both north and south of our home. Lots of opportunities to be active in the more lush north. All rooms in house have good electric fans only the master has AC. There is a safe is provided for your valuables.
