Kolkata Chronicles: a well-connected hub

We offer a cozy family apartment on the first floor in a quite, residential area, away from the hustle of the main road. It is a modern haven, with air conditioning, washing machine, Wi-Fi, TV, fully-functional kitchen, and all the basic amenities a guest would need. You are most welcome to stay here! The space The apartment has one bedrooms, one study-cum-dining room, a common space, a kitchen, and a bathroom. It can house up to 4 adults - 2 adults (+ 1 child) on the queen-size bed in the bedroom, and 2 adults on the sofa bed in the common space. The kitchen is fitted with a water purifier for drinking water. The bathroom is fitted with a water heater. The apartment is in North Kolkata, 4 min walking from the bus stop 'Sinthee Mor' on B. T. Road. 30 min (8 Km) by car from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata. 30 min (10 Km) by car from train station 'Howrah'. 25 min (8 Km) by car from train station 'Sealdah'. 15 min (4 Km) by car from train station 'Kolkata'. Howrah, Sealdah, and Kolkata are the three main train stations in and around Kolkata for long distance trains. The time estimates may vary depending on traffic. Clean bed sheets, comforters, and towels are provided. Toiletries and other washing material are also provided. Guest access Guests have the entire apartment to their disposal - a bedroom, a study-cum-dining room, a common space, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony. Other things to note Here's a short tourists' guide to the City of Joy, Kolkata: Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math is on the Western bank of the Ganga river. It will take you only 20 min to reach there from our apartment. This includes a fun boat ride across the Ganga. If you arrive by train to the Howrah station you cannot miss the magnificent Howrah bridge built during the British era in India. Also across the Ganga is the 2nd Hoogly Bridge. The specialty of both bridges is that they are suspended over the Ganga with pillars only at the extremities. You can take a small trip to the beautiful Princep Ghat to take a look at the 2nd Hoogly Bridge. The famous Dakshineshwar Kali Temple is only 10-15 min away by car. If you've heard about our famous festival Durga Puja, a visit to Kumartuli is a must! It is here that the idols are painstakingly constructed by talented sculptors. You can watch them live! Victoria Memorial, Birla Planatarium, St. Paul's Cathedral, Indian Museum Kolkata are located in Central Kolkata, reachable easily from our apartment within 30-40 min by car. The cultural hub of Kolkata lies around Rabindra Sadan, Nandan, Academy of Fine Arts, all reachable within 30-45 min from our apartment. There are also a number of theater halls in the north, central, and south Kolkata where you might get the opportunity to catch a famous play in Bengali/English/or multi-lingual. Down south there is the famous Kali Temple at Kalighat reachable by car/bus/metro from our apartment. The Dover Lane Music conference takes place at Nazrul Manch, also towards the south. There are about 15 modern malls in and around Kolkata. Feel free to ask us more for pointers!
