House with three terraces overlooking Aegean Sea

ThreeTerraces is our beautiful secluded vacation home with a superb view to the Aegean Sea and the mountain of Profitis Ilias. The house offers a spacious living room with a well equipped kitchen, a spectacular bathroom carved out in a rock and on the first floor a bedroom with double bed giving direct access to a lovely balcony. It is nestled against the picturesque village of Pyrgos, home to more than forty churches, winding little alleyways and the remains of a Venetian castle. The space Is ideal for couples, solo travelers and families with 1 child. Tranportation: We can organise a taxi pick up from the airport or port to our accomodation. We dont charge commision therfore is far cheaper than the commerical transfers (20 euros currently). Alternatively there is a bus network all year long (check KTEL Santorini for the timetables). The best way to explore the island is by using your own car/ motor. Check online for the best prices; there are countless rentals stationed at the airport/ port. There is also a local provider at Pyrgos village. Parking and accesibility: You can park for free your car at the public road. In order to access the house you need to walk around 30-40 stairs. Travelling with Children: We don't charge children under 12 years old. We can offer you a baby crib, toys and other accessories for young children. Warning: Because of the stairs and the terraces, the house is not suited/ can be dangerous for children between 1-6. Winter months: Santorini has a pleasant, dry winter climate, with temperatures around 18 degrees Celsius. Though, there is often wind, and therefore winter swimming is not at everyone's taste (I personally enjoy swimming at the winter). Pyrgos has quite some local residents, therefore is a lively village all year round with2 mini markets, shops, cafes and restaurants open. Our place has air conditioning, central heating and all necessary winter equipment you might need. Remote Working/ Internet: For the online-working guests, our internet connection is relatively stable and fast (wifi password: alexandros). The nominal speed is at 50mbs, though at mobile devices expect approximately 10-15mbs (varies ) and with ethernet cable you get over 40mbs. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space to work and tables that you can transform into working stations. Cooking The kitchen is fully equiped and you can prepare meals. There is an electric stove, oven, fridge, cooking pans, french press, dishes, cuttleries etc. You can buy groceries from 2 mini markets at the village (walking distance). or many supermarkets at a driving distance. In order to operate the stove: Place your pan at the stove; deactivate the lock (touch screen); turn it on; select the desired stove position. Ps. Air the room if you use a lot of spices; and wash the dishes before checking out. Check In/out: We are quite flexible with the check in/out times given that there is no other guest arriving/departing at the same day. Hence, as soon as you know your travel details, please send them to us. If there is another guest, then a standard 11.00 check out, 15.00 check in time will be applied. Ps. You can drop your bags to the house of my parents who live nearby. Disclaimer: Note that we are locals, a family of teachers and we love Santorini. Therefore, even at this period of ephemeral tourism and quick gain, we try to offer you a genious hosting experience. We keep the prices far lower than the competition, because as travelers ourselves, we don't want to rip off our visitors. My mother welcomes you and can be availiable for any information. I live in Amsterdam and I handle most of the communication. When I or other family visit Santorini, I stay at that home. We also try to hold our environmental footprint at a minimum. The house location provides it with amble breeze and is natural cool. Hence, use air conditioning only if needed and with the windows and doors closed. We use solar energy for warm water and there are numerous pristine beaches within 10-20 minutes drive. What I want to write is, that we are not a hotel or a cheap stay. If you are searching ample amenities, or limiting your budget at a bare minimum, look further. We enjoy hosting and we treat our visitors as guests and not as customers.
