Cottage in Kennerdell

4-season cottage with amazing views of the Allegheny River with great wildlife and bird watching (bald eagles). There's a hot tub to relax in after biking (Rails to Trails bike trail), kayaking (2 available), hiking, fishing, playing (playground in the yard), shooting (.22 range in the back yard), or swimming (in the river or local waterfall) all day. Great for families or friend getaways. A home away from home, everything you need, and more for an escape to the woods. The space The property is well maintained year-round. The house is at the end of a private dirt road along the Allegheny River. There's a fully equipped kitchen, two refrigerators, two indoor dining room tables, and multiple outdoor seating areas. Everything you need to make a gourmet meal if you need. Roaster, griddles, pots & pans, etc. 4 bedrooms. The primary bedroom with a private bath feels like you're in a tree house with amazing views of woods in the backyard. Two bedrooms facing the river and sunrise. One with a queen bed and one with a full bed. The 4th bedroom has bunk beds~ single and a full mattress. There is also a loft with mattresses for added sleeping space. The basement has couches . The living room has 2 couches, TV and internet access along with an indoor fireplace for cold days or bad weather. Outside on the property, we have 5 decks, 4 facing the river and one facing the backyard. The back deck has a hot tub with views of the woods and the river. with 2 decks on the house along with a side patio with a fire pit. and 2 more decks down by the river along with another fire pit. .22 range in the back yard, playground in the side yard. 2 Kayaks available. Multiple bikes in the shed to take on the Rails to Trail bike trail. Day trips could be made downriver to the charming small town of Emlenton which has an ice cream shop and a new brewery, Little It Deli (great pizzas), a great bar for food and beer ~Ottos or north to Franklin with another brewery, many restaurants and a beautiful small town. Every season has its perks. It's truly hard to pick the best time to visit. Guest access In the house- towels, sheets/blankets, pots and pans, dishes, & Internet tv with Amazon Fire. I have a few paper goods but would be best if you brought your own, i.e. paper plates, napkins, paper towels, and toilet paper. Outside- kayaks (2), bikes, fire pits~2, tables, and chairs. Other things to note We have 7 acres at our cottage. It's possible you won't have a neighbor around your whole stay. Lots of trails to hike, an old railroad tunnel to explore by bike or walking and of course we have a beautiful waterfall, within 2 miles....via the railroad tunnel~Freedom Falls. You can also drive to the falls, part way up the hill you drove down. We have eagles everywhere, you just have to watch for them. You are 20-30 minutes away from the closest store so plan accordingly. I'm happy to answer any questions before you arrive to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
