A pleasant 15 sq. metre room, set in the residential part of tranquil Tapu Bay, 100 meters to the beach kayaks . OWN CAR ESSENTIAL, private parking, private access to the studio; queen bed, ensuite, a kitchenette with refreshments and wifi. A small microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster provided . No outdoor cooking facilities. Dishes cleaned by host. Kayaks are free of charge for guest use. A perfect place to relax or to use as a base to explore the beautiful Abel Tasman. Very tidal. The space A small unit nestled in tranquil Tapu Bay. Set between the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park on the main road to Kaiteriteri and the coastline of Tasman Bay. No footpath on main roads! The Riwaka-Kaiteriteri Road is the main road access for all traffic to the Abel Tasman National Park. It can be busy on the narrow, very hilly winding road, especially during peak holiday times. The room is fairly close to the main house. Due to the size of the room, it is not suitable for large backpacks or suitcases for two guests. Walking distance to Kaiteriteri is 20 minutes by road (not recommended in summer, no footpaths) and 40 minutes through the mountain bike bush park (easy rider route). Kaiteriteri is a rural area without any public transport. At Kaiteriteri there is access to water taxis and coastal activities in the Abel Tasman Park and Golden Bay. Please be aware that as a family home, normal living noise and activity may be heard at times. Minimum stay 2 nights and maximum 4 nights No smoking anywhere on the property. Guest access Own car ESSENTIAL with parking on-site: as you approach the bend at the bottom of the driveway and with the house on your left, drive onto the grassed area with the sign: Studio@392. Guests have lockbox access for self-checkin and the code is sent nearer a guest’s arrival. Guests also have beach access and kayaks are available for use free of charge. They are locked on the beach. Life jackets are kept outside on the studio porch in a large plastic container with paddles. If you’re not sure of beach access, we’re happy to help. A very tidal bay, note high tide times. Garden access to all seating and relaxing areas. During your stay Yvonne and Jeff enjoy meeting and talking to guests casually and upon arrival. They are available for questions via Air BnB messaging options anytime. Other things to note A Continental breakfast offered first morning of stay: yogurt, fruit, toast, juice, spreads and butter, cookies, fresh ground coffee. Motueka is a 12kms drive from Tapu Bay, 30 minutes to ebike. Kaiteriteri is 20 to 40 minutes walk and 5 minutes drive. Not suitable for carrying large backpacks or luggage from Kaiteriteri. Nearest general basic grocery shopping store, cafe, restaurant, pub, NP tours, water taxis, kayaks and waka ama experiences are all available in Kaiteriteri. Supermarkets, shopping and entertainment, laundromat, tour bookings and other essentials can be found in Motueka, 12kms drive. Please note, there is no public transport available. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property. Open windows in hot weather and following showers.
