SERENITY

SERENITY is one of 3 farms, north of Pontianak (45km from PNK airport), pioneering the organic movement of Kalimantan. It is an organic 5ha farm with over 300 young coconut trees amidst non-organic coconut plantations. The accommodation is a simple free standing bungalow surrounded by greenery with a fresh breeze blowing throughout the day. The greenery by the house only gets trimmed around the small coconut trees so birds and other small wildlife live in it. The space Accommodation and amenities are basic...not a 5 star, but 5million star hotel. There r 2 bed rooms, living room, kitchen and toilet, front and back porch with hammock. Water is kept in rain water tanks. A cooling breeze is blowing throughout the day. A grass mat behind the house is nice to lie on to receive Sun and Earth energy. Guest access Guests have access to all parts of the farm. Other things to note At Dapur Organik Farm (the main farm with restaurant) we offer a course in making your own bottle of virgin coconut oil to take home. Starting from picking the coconut from the tree to bottling your oil. The cost of the VCO course is Rp 300,000 per person. Here at Dapur we are committed to living a sustainable, environmentally friendly life. We ask you to please avoid bringing single use plastics to the farm, and to be conscious of your electricity and water use while you are here.
