The cottage is 1200 sqft, clean 2 bedrooms & a sleeping space, located on the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron. It's open concept, with pine tongue & groove walls, varnished plywood flooring & a lovely cottage atmosphere. Sleeps 4+2 Listen to the Lake from dawn to dusk while watching the changing color of water. At the water's edge, the rock is flat with shallow entry. Beneath the surface of the water, the bottom is flat rock. Watch colorful sunset from the porch with your favorite drink. The space This cottage is approved by NBP Municipality as a short term rental accommodation (STA: NBP-2021-513) House Keeping: All the beds have pillows, linens. Clean bed sheet, pillow covers are provided one time when you come in but not changed during your stay. If you need extra, please bring yours. Cottage is kept clean when you move in. Cleaning means are also there for the Guest to use during their stay. No house cleaning service provided during your stay. As we don’t charge extra for cleaning, we expect the guest to leave the place clean, Number of guests: Cottage is suitable for 4 adults and 2 children. Bed Rooms: All the Bed rooms have standing/table fans and thermostat controlled baseboard heaters to maintain your comfort depending on the weather. There is no air conditioner in the cottage. The main floor rooms are naturally cool all day as the cottage is 2 storied. Bathroom: Main bathroom has a bath tub with a standing shower. We provide bath towels, one per guest, when you come in. Towels are not changed or cleaned during your stay. If you need extras, please bring yours. Shampoo, bath soap & hand soap, toilet papers are provided. The main floor has a 2 piece bath. The toilet there, is macerating type toilet which grinds the waste & pumps out to the sewage system. This toilet only processes human waste & some toilet paper. Any other substance even paper towel or napkin can create blockage leading to costly repair. Guest should carefully use this toilet. Kitchen: The kitchen has Stove, oven, microwave oven, Fridge, coffee maker, bread toaster & kettle. We also provide enough utensils, dishes cups, baking trays & cutleries. Coffee (regular), coffee mate, salt, pepper, sugar, cooking oil, paper towels are provided. All the BBQ accessories are provided. We keep some cool bottles or water in the fridge for the guest to quench the thirst upon arrival. The well water supply is tested by municipality & free from any bacteria harmful to human. The well water is very rich in iron. We do have an iron filter still the water color is little hazy. We recommend our guest to bring their drinking water. Seating Area: There is a 32”TV, VCR & some DVDs for your entertainment. The TV is flat screen, newer style & accepts HDMI cables. There are some books to encourage your reading pleasure. Outdoor activity: We have a table with 4 chairs & some folding chairs to enjoy outdoor dining. We have a fire bowl, 3 chairs and a bench to enjoy outdoor bonfire. We provide 2 small kayaks (200lbs/90kg capacity & 250lbs/ 113.5kg)) , 2 peddles, 2 life jackets for water activity. The shore line is rocky &slippery. The depth of water is varies, and in times waves are strong as well. You can get in to the water & swim with care at your own risk. Garbage disposal: There is a fair size wooden bin at the entrance to dispose the garbage. The recyclables items (cans & bottles) could be put in the blue bag & kept separately beside garbage bins. Please don’t leave garbage open outside. This will attract animals to spread them everywhere. City picks up the garbage every Monday morning. If you have excess garbage, please take them to the city waste disposal site at no cost. The site is located just off the Hwy #6 near Ira lake road. They are open extended hours. Please check NBP city website for their hours. Quiet time: Quiet time is 10 pm. Please avoid loud music to respect the neighbors and keep up the come & quiet atmosphere. Host access: There is a separate locked bunkey, in the property where the host keeps the supplies. If needed, owner or his representative might access the bunkey without disturbing the guest and their privacy. Host will let the guest know (by email) in advance, when the bunkey would be accessed. Guest access Guest can use the whole cottage & the property except the small Bunkey, which contains the supplies for the host & kept locked. Other things to note At the cottage entrance there is an outdoor security camera for the safety & security of our guests and the premises. The camera doesn't interfere with the privacy of our guests. There is a Sandy beaches at Singing Sand just 2km from the cottage with paid parking. Bruce Peninsula national Park & Grotto is located around 5kM from the cottage. The entrance is at Cyprus Lake. Please book your parking online to beat the rush and secure the spot. This is fun spot you don't want to miss. This has walking trail. Tobermory village has a lot to offer from food, groceries activities like Kayaking, boat tour to Flower island, shops for collectibles. There is a small parking fees for 3 hours parking.
