Description

You’ll love this Wisconsin Lakefront Hideout in Hatfield WI! Our lake home (4 bedroom/2 bathroom/sleeps up to 11) has great views, location & local ambiance. Great for families/kids, couples, adventurers, short/long term work accommodation ATV'ers & larger groups. Lots of Summer fun fishing, swimming, boating, hiking+5 local bars & restaurants! There's 2 decks, dock & small private lakefront beach. With over 150 reviews since we opened our doors, many 5-star, our rating has averaged 4.5 stars. The space You and your family, guests or group will have a great time here! It's a wooden wonderland, where the deer often walk across the lawn in front of & behind the house. The house sits in a very nice, quiet forested area, just one mile away from the small town of Hatfield, where you can buy supplies and firewood. We have a private dock and a small sandy beach Just 20 minutes away is the larger town of Black River Falls (BRF), population 15,000, which inspired one of Stephen King's short stories in his book, "Full Dark, No Stars" (about in BRF 1922). You and your family, guests or group will have a great time here in the summer and fall, all year around. The trees turn amazing colors in the fall, and there is good fishing on the lake and from our dock or 140' shoreline. The perfect place to get away from it all! Hatfield has 4 different bars/restaurants, a large campground, and several markets on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. The best pizza in the area is found at the Mug, which also hosts Taco Tuesday with taco pizza's & taco bar. The Hungry Frog has the best Friday fish fry for miles! There is a dock to fish from, or to tie up your pontoon boat, ski boat or fishing boat. The 140' shoreline has a small sand beach, and swimming is great because the the lake bed is pebbles and sand. PLEASE NOTE: The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) manage the lake and surrounding forests have added rocks to the shore to keep the beach from eroding and the bank from washing away and to preserve the environmental quality of the lake, the water and the Black River. There is a picnic table, 2 decks, a grill with utensils and some garden furniture (table & 4 chairs). Please exercise caution and common sense when swimming, boating or using the house and grounds. Children should always be supervised, and wear flotation devices when in the water, swimming,or boating. Be responsible and enjoy Wisconsinably! In the Fall, the trees are all the colors and are gorgeous. It's such a beautiful area. It's a great lake house all rear round, even in the winter. This is truly a great place to relax, have some fun and truly get away from it all! Hope to see you soon! The area has great hiking trails and lots to do locally. Jackson and Clark Counties have some of the best hiking and ATV trails in the Midwest. You will really like this place. It's an open plan kitchen with a big kitchen island that is great for eating together, playing games and cards, working and gaming on laptops, etc, with multiple power outlets at each end. Groups that stay at our place really like our open plan kitchen and open living area! Spring/Summer/Fall: For a North Woods cabin on a beautiful lake - our place is the bomb. With over 5reviews and a 4.5 star rating, you can't go wrong! Plus, the Fall/Autumn colors are fantastic from the middle of September through the end of October. The lot is large so lots of room for the kids to run around, and the lot sits directly on the lake with 120 foot of shoreline, and the dock will be in and ready by the time you get there. In the summer, you can swim, fish, water ski or boat off the dock. The lakebed is round pebbles and rocks, with no jagged rocks. If you come in August, the water will be really nice and warm for swimming and water sports. There are 2 decks, a real big one behind the house, with a large Weber kettle grill and a picnic table, with a table and 4 chairs. There is also a smaller dock by the water overlooking the beach, the dock and the lake. Sometimes groups move the table and chairs from the big dock to the small dock. The small dock is a great place to sit above the beach and watch the lake and the boats go by, also for having a nice breakfast, lunch, coffee, or a cold drink. When you are sitting at the fire pit, you can see the dock & lake. There is also a 2nd smaller deck that looks over the lake and the beach. Both are raised up about 15 feet above the water, so you have perfect views on the lake, the dock and the beach. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the water can be seen in the summer, the house and lot perfectly face the west. From the beach, you can see the sunrise at the end of the lake over the water. It's a big lot, with plenty of space for outdoor games or space to throw a football or Frisbee around. There's also a fire pit and there should be enough wood lying around in the woods. And just 20 minutes away is the larger town of Black River Falls (BRF), population 15,000, which inspired one of Stephen King's short stories in his book, "Full Dark, No Stars" (about in BRF 1922). Parking is good. there's a big turn around in front of the house so it's easy to pull up, unload and park. The house and lawn are on flat ground. Guest access You can access all areas of the house and lot except for bedroom closets and garage. Other things to note The area has numerous excellent hiking trails. Just a short 10 minute drive from our lake home, Bruce's Mound is close by, the highest point in the tri-county area and where you can get birds-eye 360 degree view of west central Wisconsin. Snow skiing is available there. Snowmobile trails and ATV trails are abundant in Jackson & Clark counties. Access to the area is very easy, only 20 minutes off of Interstate I- 90/94.
