A beautiful cottage within the grounds of The Planters House Hotel situated on a tea estate near Haputale, Sri Lanka with stunning views. The cottage provides a wonderful retreat and has a sitting room, one king bedroom, one bunk-bed room, and private veranda and garden. You have access to the main house including the drawing room, dining room and library. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and there's an amazing infinity pool. The space The Monarakanda Estate house is a spacious colonial plantation house located in the beautiful hills of the Uva Province. The house is surrounded by the tea plantation and majestic mountains, with a wonderful view over the south of the country. This idyllic setting provides an opportunity to completely relax as well as to explore the working tea estate and the spectacular natural surroundings. The estate was part of the Lipton estates and it is situated below the Lipton Seat. The design, which takes its inspiration from Sri Lanka's colonial past, is simple and stylish. There are five recently refurbished bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities. You can take a walk in our extensive garden, relax in the infinity pool or enjoy a game of badminton or croquet. We also offer a range of indoor games and guests are welcome to make use of our extensive DVD library. The pleasant climate is arguably one of the best in Sri Lanka. There are many beautiful walks in the area - from a leisurely stroll to a more energetic hike. Guest access Guests have access to all areas of the house apart from the staff accommodation and other guest rooms. Other things to note Please be advised that the house is set within a tea estate and the estate roads to the house are bumpy. Meals are not included
