Cosy caravan amongst the trees

Set within 6 acres of farmland this 1977 caravan with a conservatory is a comfortable spot to get a taste of rural life, while only being 7 minutes away from the heart of Lower Hutt. As local beekeepers, we'll have honey and farm eggs from our chickens ready for you on arrival. This space is ideal for 2-4 but can work for 6 people. We’ve found it works well for families as well as adults. However, many budget savvy adult groups love it as they are happy in a smaller space. The space This is a large property which you are welcome to explore. Go collect eggs from the chickens for breakfast, say hey to the bunnies or chat with our sheep on your way to the creek to see the chickens. It is a working farm so you’ll need normal caution around farm animals. A full bathroom with toilet, shower, washing machine and dryer is just 20 paces down the sloping pathway from the caravan, externally accessed, for your use only (it is part of the main house). It is steep and awkward in places, so you’d need to be comfy managing that if you come with small people or you have physical challenges. It is a rustic caravan and it’s in the bush - so comfort with that type of environment is a must if you come and visit! Mr Fox suits those who are young at heart and up for something different, or families with young children who are used to a camping vibe. Well behaved dogs are welcome - please let us know about your dog and how they relate to other animals before you book. Guest access You can park right outside the caravan. Other things to note The bed in the caravan is a typical caravan size and is 1.1m wide and 2m long. The other double bed is full sized which is off the kitchen area and has a door to a small deck and on the other side to an outdoor fire pit. Children are welcome as it can sleep up to 6 (there are two short single caravan beds in addition to the small double and full sized double) but think about what will work best for you before you book. If you have younger children and you are pretty chill our place will work for you but if that’s not your vibe farm life may not suit you.
