Passambhati Villa is our exclusive villa at Cape Shark. The spacious villa of about 3000 sqft built in contemporary Thai style, is located at the very cape on a hillside about 35 metres above sea level. The villa has a 270° panoramic view over the ocean and the two closest bays. The villa has an outstanding infinity pool of 25 meters as well as outdoor salas and terraces of 5000 sqft. Passambhati Villa is the perfect hide-away, if you want an extraordinary and relaxing stay on Koh Tao. The space Our exclusive villa is built in contemporary Thai/Balinese style. It´s one of the biggest and probably the most exclusive villa on Koh Tao. It has grey concrete walls, teak wooden floors, thatched roofs and all around glass openings towards the sea, with a 270° view over the ocean and the two closest bays - Shark Bay (Thiang Og Bay and Sai Daeng Bay) At the horizon you can see Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, as well as the archipelago of Ang Thong - National Marine Park. The villa stays 4-10+ persons and is perfect for the large family, two families with children or couples/friends travelling together. The villa has five bedrooms on two levels, all with en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom, is situated on a floor between the upper and the lower floor. The other four bedrooms are located at the ground floor. All bedrooms are facing the pool. The second and third bedroom share a spacious bathroom . So does the fourth and fifth bedroom. All bedrooms are equipped with comfortable queen or king size beds and roomy wardrobes. Its possible to put an extra bed or baby cot in one of the bedrooms. Passambhati villa has a very well-equipped kitchen as we love cooking, with tableware for 10+ persons. Our kitchen is known and loved by the best local chefs on the island. And we will be glad to help you arrange a chef coming to cook for you in the villa. If you would like breakfast service, this can be ordered from our reception. On both sides of the kitchen you will find nice dining terraces. A lush tropical garden with orchids and palm trees surrounds the villa. The villa is also equipped with free wifi, TV and safety boxes. In the evening you can chill in our stunning lounge sala. With a 270° view over the horizon watching the magnificent sunsets. Passambhati Villa is personally decorated with carefully selected items from all around Thailand. Our sweet housekeeper Mon is here to help you with the daily cleaning and making your bedrooms. Other than this, it’s a self-contained household. You are welcome to use our reception at Cape Shark Villas. We are here to help you book any activity you would like to try on the island. Yoga, massage, boat trips around the island, diving and snorkelling, motorbike rental and so on. We also offer free transfer to and from our villa, as well as a free shuttle bus service to the island center, 6 times daily. You can borrow snorkling gear and life vests for free from our reception. Here you can also purchase refreshments and snacks. Arriving at the villa you will also get a local cell-phone for free use during your stay. This phone is programmed with fast dial to everything you will need on the island! Please note, that only the persons registered as guests are allowed in the villa. No outside guests are allowed. Other things to note Our housekeeper Mon will clean the villa inside and outside, and make your beds every day. Please keep in mind that she is here to take care of the villa, she doesn't cook or take care of your personal belongings. If you appreciate her services, please feel free to tip her upon your departure:-). Mon´s English is not 100 % fluent, but usually there is no problem in understanding each other. To Thian Og Bay and Sai Daeng Beach, the two closest (and very beautiful) beaches, it takes about 10 minutes to walk. There will be steep hills on the way. There are bars and restaurants on the beaches with lovely Thai food as well as Western food like burgers, salads and Pizza. Besides the free shuttle bus service you can also go by local taxis or rent motorbikes. Since the island has steep hills and narrow roads in many places, you need to be a good driver to rent a motorbike. Apart from motorbike and taxi, there are other ways of getting around the island. You could rent a long tail boat and take beach stops - snorkelling wherever you like on your way around the island, and why not have your lunch in a small nice restaurant on a beach. There are several! We strongly recommend you to discover this beautiful island with all its small and charming secluded beaches and viewpoints. Your ultimate guide to this you can easily find on the internet at www.kohtaocompleteguide.com The closest supermarket is located just outside the village of Chalok called Aukotan Supermarket. You will pass it on your drive to the villa. Here you will find most of the things you need, except meat, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. For fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs, we recommend you continue along the road outside Aukotan, away from Chalok towards Mae Haad village. On the left hand side you will find a small market where you can get these things. Here, they also have all kinds of fish and seafood. For freshly baked bread and croissants, we recommend the French bakery in Chalok or Mae Haad called Cappuccino Bakery and Bistro. In Mae Haad you also find the Cafe Del Sol offering freshly baked bread. For meat, you will need to go to a shop called Pods in the village of Mae Haad. If you need to have some clothes washed please ask our housekeeper Mon, and she will wash it for you at 100 Baht per kilo. Please pay her in cash up front. Please note that you are not allowed to use the laundry room by yourself!
