Our spacious 90 m² self-catering bungalow in charming Tamarin, west coast Mauritius, is just 150 m from the shore and a 7‑minute walk (500 m) to the beach. Nestled in a lush tropical garden next to our family home, it features two air-conditioned bedrooms, a small kitchen with dining area, and an open terrace overlooking the pool and garden. Guests enjoy direct access to the swimming pool, and a gas BBQ grill is available in the garden for relaxed evenings outdoors. Check-in is usually done personally by us, but you can also opt for an easy self-check-in via a secure 4-digit key box by the entrance. We’re always just a phone call or Airbnb message away if you need assistance or local tips. The cottage is cleaned before arrival and after check-out, and we also provide a light daily housekeeping service (one hour, 3 times a week, excluding weekends). Laundry service is available on request. A small grocery store with essentials is just 150 meters away. We are located on Mauritius’ scenic west coast, only 500 meters from the famous Tamarin Bay — known for its golden beach, surf spot, and lively fisherman village. Within walking distance, you’ll find activities such as swimming with dolphins, surfing, paddle boarding, scuba diving, and boat trips. A Chinese restaurant, a pizzeria, bus stops, and taxis are also nearby. Just 1 km away, Place Cap Tamarin and Tamarin Cœur de Ville offer a variety of shops, restaurants, cafés, a bakery, a wine bar, and a large supermarket (Super U), as well as a bank and ATMs. For excursions, you’ll find plenty to explore: • Catamaran cruises and big game fishing at Le Morne Anglers Club (5 km) • Two stunning golf courses within 10–20 minutes’ drive • Casela Nature Park (6 km) with its famous “Walk with the Lions” experience • Black River Gorges National Park (8 km) for hikes and treks of all levels, with guides available • The world-renowned One Eye kite surfing spot at Le Morne (25 minutes by car) Above all, we are warm and welcoming hosts who will do our very best to make your stay comfortable, memorable, and full of wonderful experiences Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire cottage, which is reserved just for them. They are also welcome to enjoy our family swimming pool whenever it is available and in good working order. Other things to note Our home is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood, and we kindly ask that you respect the quietness and comfort of the surroundings. To maintain this atmosphere and in accordance with the regulations of the Tourism Authority for guesthouses, nighttime parties are not permitted. For those who want to experience Mauritian night life, you will find in the surrounding areas several restaurants, two night club and a sport bar. Sport activities like tennis, golf, paddle, squash, hiking, surfing, kite surfing and top class gyms are available in the area. Also available are sea activities like fishing, catamaran and boat cruise, kayaks and paddle board.
