This rural village is located on the Wild Atlantic Way which is one of the longest defined coastal routes in the world, spanning the West coast of Ireland. The village is the birthplace of the Wild Colonial Boy and is situated where the Dingle Peninsula meets the Iveragh Peninsula. The space The village of Castlemaine is on the Ring of Kerry and only a 15-20 minute drive to the bustling tourist town of Killarney, and less than a ten minute drive to one of Ireland's most famous beaches …Inch Beach, where surf boards and wet suit hire are available. Further along the peninsula you can find the scenic fishing port of Dingle.Dingle is a town of many charms, known for quality food and restaurants, interesting shops and galleries, and vibrant streetlife. Within a two hour drive of Castlemaine you will find 43 Golf Courses including many of Ireland's top 20 courses e.g., Killarney, Ballybunion, Tralee, Waterville making this also an ideal base for a Golf Trip. For climbing enthusiasts we are within easy reach of the McGillycuddy reeks and Ireland's highest mountain Carrauntoohil.
