Kookaburra Cottage - Two bedroom eco cottage (built 2017) situated on our 13 acres bush property. Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. We are 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire. The space Two bedrooms both with ensuite. Second bedroom: two single beds zip together to make a King bed option. Relaxed living area including lounge, dining and modern well equipped kitchen. Large window walls fill the rooms with lovely natural light and views of the surrounding bush. Reverse cycle air-conditioning. Renewable energy powers your stay from our solar panels and backed up by 100% GreenPower accredited renewable energy provider. Minimum two night stay. Guest access Kookaburra Cottage is fully self contained in a private valley setting on our property with driveway access and carpark. You are welcome to wander around the property. Update July 2024. Property sustained extensive damage from the February 2024 bushfire. Kookaburra Cottage is fine, though we lost the mudbrick meditation temple and a several other buildings.
